Villa Manning Relais

We stayed here for 5 nights and had a great time. Friendly attentive staff who were so helpful in every way to make our stay comfortable and special. The breakfast every morning was a surprise and simple delight Rosa always smiling and bringing in more coffee or food to set us of for the day. Large clean room serviced everyday with lovely Rituals toiletries to freshen up your stay. The location meant we could pop back and freshen up before going into other activities such as dinner or after coming back from Amalfi coast day trip. The station is a just a convoluted 10 minute walk away and the bus station is there as well so we took both to Positano ( public bus ) and train to Napoli for day trips . Cheap and simple to use but can get crowded so check and get ticket and be early. Very good shower in our room indeed. Everything was good for a family stay good value good location but everything depends on you expectations. It’s difficult to get the property around I would say if you have mobility problems . We didn’t use the gardens or pool area as so much to se and do in Sorrento as it was.

Wonderful quiet oasis a very short walk away from the main square in Sorrento. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful. The place is spotless, well decorated and stylish and the rooms are spacious and a perfect temperature. We were really happy with our stay and would recommend it to couples or families.

We had an incredible four night stay at Villa Manning and felt so lucky to have found it. Everything was perfect and luxurious. Such better value than a lot of places in Sorrento as it is so spacious and of such a high standard. The building and gardens are beautiful they have done an incredible job modernising this historic villa. We had the junior suite with a huge private patio. The staff were fantastic particularly Rosa at breakfast. Valeria organised our capri tour and a transfer to the airport. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. It is also the perfect location near everything including the train station but far enough from the hustle of the city centre to still have a peaceful break.

This is an elegant serviced B&B style property which is quiet and secluded but still has a favourable position about a 5 minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the main square of Sorrento. All the staff we encountered here were exceptionally helpful from the reception ladies to Rosa who is an absolute star serving breakfast to guests each morning. A member of staff was also responsive and helpful via a WhatsApp number shared upon check in if the reception desk was unmanned so you really couldn’t ask for much more. The rooms are spacious (particularly for European standards), modern and spotlessly clean. The room is cleaned and towels and toiletries (by Rituals) refreshed daily. The Relais occupies an historic building that has been thoughtfully decorated. A drawback of this set up means there are several stairs from the ground floor up to the accommodation, garden and breakfast area. There are two lifts however there is no complete step-free access from the reception to the rooms so if you struggle with mobility this may be something to consider. The small gardens were pleasant enough though we did not spend any time here during our visit which was mostly focused on seeing the sights and landscape on this unique coastline. Sorrento area does have an abundance of mosquitos and the hotel were extremely kind in supplying us with repellent on request. The selection of the included breakfast was limited but still much appreciated. The service provided by Rosa at breakfast was homely and extremely attentive. I must say the prepared selection was skewed towards foods of the very sweet variety! Even with the option of ordering eggs our party all felt that the selection could have been more balanced. Not a huge criticism, more of a constructive suggestion for the future. Overall I would have no hesitation in returning to this B&B which was very good overall. Thank you for an awesome stay!

Gorgeous gardens and property. Breakfast was fantastic—fresh frittata, rice with amazing olive oil and veggies, croissants, local cured meats and cheese, perfectly ripe melon, and amazing fresh baked breads and delectable desserts made and served by the warm and friendly Rosa. There are only 5 rooms here. Service is friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is totally relaxing. Be sure to take a dip in the beautiful pool and spend some time relaxing under the lemon trees. It’s a perfect place to unwind and relax.

Stayed at the Villa Manning as part of a two week tour of Italy we did in April. This was the longest we stayed anywhere on that trip, and it was exactly what we needed. Perfectly positioned, just a 5 minute walk from the station and the main centre of Sorrento it was a little haven of tranquility - which an absolutely beautiful garden to sit in under the lemon trees. The room was lovely and clean; and perfect for the 4 of us with a double bed on a mezzanine and then two single beds downstairs. The real highlight of this place though is the breakfast. Rosa is an absolute gem - serving up a wonderful selection every day; including cakes she has made from lemons in the garden and a surprise item which included things like a pasta dish, something that was similar to a quiche and on the last day a carrot and peas mixture - all absolutely wonderful! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Sorrento and have a really memorable experience
