Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria

Really nice hotel, good service, good views, definitely recommend

The hotel is wonderful. Large, comfortable rooms and bathrooms which combine a classic Italian style with a fresh and modern feel; delicious breakfast; beautiful and large pool; lovely quiet grounds. We liked that the sea-facing terrace and bar areas are reserved for hotel guests, meaning one can always get a table. Every member of staff we encountered was delightful - friendly, relaxed, helpful and welcoming, from Carmine at the property gates to all of the reception, concierge and restaurant teams. A great experience and we’ll certainly visit again. Grazie mille!

We are currently staying at this Hotel for the first time, usually staying in Positano for the two weeks in August, we thought we would stay here for a week, having visited and stayed in Sorrento many times. We have been lucky to have stayed in many "Leading Hotels of the World" Group. This one, after only two days is exceptional, the staff are attentive, friendly and genuine. We look forward to the rest of our holiday. I should note that I do not regularly post on Trip Advisor unless something is worth mention!

It has taken me months before writing a review on this dreamy property because we have been reminiscing of it. We went on a family trip to Italy and Sorrento and the Costa Amalfitana was part of it. We stayed there for a week and we didn’t want to leave. We found the property through the Amex Hotel Collection and it did not disappoint. The property is beautifully maintained, the lemon and orange trees surround the landscape and adds to the charm. The valley parking welcomes you, they walk you the entrance of the property and take care of your luggage. The check in process was very efficient and the front desk personnel super friendly and professional. We had our teenage sons with us and had booked two suites and it was not needed. The accommodations are very spacious and had a double sofa bed in the sitting area. We had booked one with a king end and one with two queen beds. The beds and pillow were new and very comfortable. Linens were fresh and luxurious. The suite amenities/refreshments were replenished everyday twice a day (mineral water, soft drinks, wine, beer, snacks). The needs and bathroom are kept throughout the day and the bathroom amenities are second to none. The housekeeping staff were always available and very friendly and always providing excellent services. We had the buffet breakfast everyday and it was delicious and great selection of proteins, fresh fruits and bakery. The concierge helped us books a private boat tour to Amalfi and Capri. There is an elevator (part of the hotel) that will take you down to the Sorrento pier. The property faces the pier. The swimming pool is beautiful, the staff is always helpful and caring. We had dinner at the hotels restaurants and it was one of the best experiences of Sorrento. The luxurious services and property amenities are equal to the beauty of Sorrento. We would like to thank Giovanni, Nelo (our boat captain), Giuseppe, the ladies at the breakfast check in, the housekeeping staff and everyone at Excelsior Vittoria. We loved our stay there, we will be back this year, we will always recommend this property to our family and friends.
