Hotel Metropole

This is a three star plus hotel according to Jet2. We had a wonderful stay and found the hotel to be excellent. Pluses are location, cleanliness, friendliness and service. The hotel are also able to assist with door to door excursion booking too, if you want it, but this can also be arranged with most of the excursion offices in the town also. The hotel has a lovely out door pool area if you want it too. Only negative for me is the business of the road you have to cross when using the public bus. Bus service is excellent though and you can travel easily to most places. We had a sea view room and whilst traffic is noisy, the glazing and shutters excluded this at night, so not an issue for us. We really enjoyed our stay here and will return.

Had a brilliant stay at hotel metropole staff are all friendly and helpful hotel clean lots of blue and white decor quiet hotel nice breakfast room good breakfast section nice pool and seating area rooms nice and spacious location ok but it’s on a hill if you don’t mind walking you will be ok

Great small hotel, quiet inside, fantastic service, clean, lovely breakfast with plenty of choice, lovely outdoor space with plenty of seats. As mentioned the road outside is busy and around 10 minutes of the walk does not have a pavement but LOTS of people are walking up and down the road, to other hotels too. There are stunning views of Vesuvius and the bay as you walk so not a problem. The hotel is great value, staff go the extra mile

We recently stayed at the Metropole Hotel in Sorrento and had a great experience overall. Initially, there were some issues with our room, but the management team quickly addressed the problems and ensured everything was sorted out. The staff were polite, attentive, and made our stay enjoyable. The hotel's location was reasonably close to downtown Sorrento, making it a convenient base for exploring the area. We'd recommend the Metropole Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed place to stay in Sorrento

Brilliant hotel , very friendly traditional decor so clean, beautiful scenery, bit troublesome if you wanted to walk with young children or pushchair, perfectly fine if your able to walk just have to be aware of good 10 mins with road walk no path & can be daunting at first until you get use to it then path appears around 20 mins walk depending on if you are average walker, you can get bus up from sorrento centre street opposite the hospital they run roughly every 20/30 mins 2 euro each or taxi will cost you 20 euros , its also fine walk at night as bright with street lighting showing you the way . We enjoy great choice of breakfast & pool area although we were out alot visited Amafi, pomepii & Capri Would definitely recommend & return as we stayed 20 minutes walk other end of Sorrento 2 years ago but much prefered this end more scenic Absolutelyl ove Sorrento .Elaine & Tina Norfolk.

I stayed in room 305 from 16th-20th October I thought I had been bitten by mosquitos. I had 27 bites on my left leg and 11 on my right. On return home I went to the pharmacy and was told it was bed bug bites. I contacted the hotel they were brilliant. They got their maintenance team to inspect the room where no evidence of bed bugs were found. They also got their disinfection partner to inspect the room who also found no evidence of bed bugs. Now I am home the bites have fully healed.
