We had a wonderful stay in this hotel. The views from our room and the restaurant were truly breathtaking as due to its elevated position, you could see all over Sorrento. The staff were very professional and attentive and helped to make our anniversary celebrations even more special. The food, cleanliness and ambience of the hotel were truly first class. I had a tear in my eye when we had to leave, but hopefully we will return one day as it was a very special place.

Finally we made it back, first visited in 2019 and booked for 2020, but we all know what happened then. So back to what is one of our favourite hotels world wide, Hotel Bristol, Sorrento. The outstanding views haven't changed, many of the excellent staff like Luca are still there working efficiently and effectively to make our stay just as good as we remembered, the rooms are clean and comfortable with daily servicing by staff who care. Yes the hotel fronts onto Via Capo and traffic noise might be an issue for some during the day, but close the double glazed balcony doors and even without dropping the shutters you'd never know there was a road outside. Whilst October is cooler, more to my liking than high summer, the roof terrace was still a great place to top up the sun-tan, and the bar has a good selection too.

We stayed at Hotel Bristol on 7–9 October, after our daughter Candice’s wedding to her Neapolitan husband, Pasquale, on the Amalfi Coast. We returned because we’d never forgotten our amazing stay for my 60th birthday nine years ago — and it was just as wonderful this time! Pure class, beautifully run by experienced, smiling staff. Spotless, elegant, and full of timeless sophistication — not trendy or showy, just perfect. Special thanks to Giuseppe and Luca (whom I remembered from nine years ago!) for their professionalism and warmth. What a wonderful hotel. Service from all staff was excellent: reception, porters, cleaning staff, waiters, bar staff. All friendly, courteous and attentive. Special mention to Luca, Giuseppe and Carmine in the dining room, always happy, smiley and couldn’t do enough for us. Also the wonderful omelette chef at breakfast. Which brings me to the food, we were half board and it was wonderful. Awesome selection of everything you would expect at breakfast. Three courses of beautifully cooked food in the evening too, lots of choice. My favourite was the beef roll and the lemon delight. Whole hotel was spotlessly clean, lots of corridors with art and artefacts lining the walls. The layout did take us a few days to get our heads round, it’s made up of three buildings, all joined but we wandered around a bit at first till we found the best route to places. Lots of stairs, not suitable if you have limited mobility. Swimming pool area was lovely and relaxed, didn’t have a problem getting a sun bed. The pool was cold, not surprising for October really!! We will definitely be back, an excellent hotel.

What a beautiful hotel for our honeymoon. Rooms spotless and cleaned every day over the 4 nights we were there for. We couldn’t fault the food. Lunch and dinner menu are to order and not buffet which we absolutely loved. The hotel is definitely of the higher spec compared to other hotels. The staff are kind and attentive. Towels or pool hire are €1.50 which we didn’t mind. The times for breakfast/lunch/dinner works well when planning days for exploring Sorrento. As it is only 10 minutes walk away from the hotel this made exploring sorrento convenient. If you are half board including the breakfast and dinner, you’re allowed to switch your dinner to lunch if you are planning to not have dinner at the hotel which was great for us when we had dinner planned at a restaurant. Would definitely visit this hotel again if we ever did visit sorrento again in the future. Thank you staff!

The hotel Bristol is perfect the location is brilliant and the food is exceptional. Hotel staff are so friendly and helpful. I stayed there with my sister celebrating my 60th birthday . I can honestly say I couldn’t have wished for a better holiday. I will definitely be back ☺️

The Hotel Bristol was not only a great base to explore Sorrento. It was also comfortable and great views over the city. Wonderful staff especially Luca and waiters from the restaurant who greeted us everyday with a smile. I would highly recommend this hotel and Sorrento. Gary McMillan
