Beautiful resort in a rural area and great location while visiting Sundarbans. Overall resort design, maintenance, greenery, game options, food quality and variety all turned out to be quite good. Staff were very polite in general. Multi cuisine restaurant offered good choices and the preparation was fine in general. Good vegetarian options. Included breakfast had decent spread. Though serving staff could do with better training to manage guests and peak time demand. Booked directly with the hotel and it was a mixed experience. Initial response was prompt but while confirming other package details closer to the date, it got very frustrating as the reservation office just handed over the request to be handled by some unnamed person over a mobile phone. No email for guest relations or escalation despite multiple follow ups over email or WhatsApp. Thankfully the experience at the resort location was not that bad. Boat safari situation and booking was further disappointing. No exclusive boats for any closer to date confirmation. Shared boat no clear indication of group size and it turned out to be 37 people. Good thing was that all were guests of the hotel and thus the group was largely well behaved. Few observations for booking: - advance booking could be limited to just the rooms. Other bookings like for food, activities etc could be decided later at the resort itself. - safari is a hit or miss, nothing to do with the hotel. Rather difficult to spot any tiger or other bigger animals. - good number of sport options at the resort including TT, pool, badminton, carrom, swimming. - transportation guidance could be bit more adequate else it becomes confusing. Else, road trip to Gadkhali and then ferry to Gosaba and then E- rickshaw to hotel are easily arranged by the hotel. Just that the communication around it was not well handled.
