Gross. Just gross. Our room reeked of very stale cigarette smell and the overall hygiene was abysmal. The bathtub and showerhead were both covered in calcium or dirt and the corners were quite nasty. The night stand was smeared with a large stain of sticky residue and an old perfumer lay there, quite possibly to cover the cigarette smell. Asthmatics and allergics - no go. They have a pool, but the water wasn't anything I'd like to swim in at all. The cutting of corners in the hygiene department really unnerved us, so we decided to not spend a single night there. Coming from Europe to Jakarta is a rare treat and any stay is too short to sleep in those conditions. They have a no refund policy, so I advise not booking long stays before you've seen it yourself. The street was too busy for us to cross, not being used to the way things are done in traffic. It was a very busy road. Not very touristy surrounding. To be fair, maybe the second room would have been better, and the staff were wonderfully service-minded and obviously bothered by us leaving, so I do think they care. The receptionist even made sure to pay the 7€ cab ride for us.
