Fantastic rooms that feel really luxurious. The large freestanding bath is a great plus and it was silent and pitch black at night - great for a restful escape from the city.

What a fabulous little place to stay. Stayed here for an impromptu one night trip and thoroughly enjoyed it. The pub and rooms are tastefully styled, the bed was extremely comfortable, the food was lovely (especially breakfast!) and this place oozes charm. The service from Carole during our visit was second to none. Hostess with the mostess! The most welcoming person you could imagine. Fabulous hospitality from the moment we arrived. Will most definitely be coming back! It’s so peaceful, tucked away on a quiet country lane which just tops off the chilled atmosphere sitting in the gardens enjoying a drink and food.

The shepherd's hut was a dream come true, with our own front garden area. We didn't even need to leave the hotel at all. The staff were amazing, all of them were so friendly and made us feel at home. I would definitely come back for some peace and quiet away from London!

Stayed one night at The Artist Residence Oxford and was delighted to be given a free upgrade to one of the stunning loft rooms. The room was divine with original beams, the comfiest super king bed I’ve ever slept in (beats even Four Seasons) and premium bed linen. In the room is everything you might possibly need from free bottled water and NESPRESSO to adapters and chargers in case you forgot to bring yours (nice touch). Loved the Bramley toiletries and the snack basket looked yummy but had to avoid due to increasing waistline! Supper downstairs was divine and the chef was happy to change one of the dishes to accommodate my diabetic friend. All in all a perfect break. My only wish is that we could have stayed more than one night!

I stayed in the shepherd hut with my dogs as a birthday treat to myself. It was so comfortable and luxurious - for me and my dogs! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. They were kind and friendly, and made my trip so very special. The hut had everything I needed - lovely bed, kettle, fridge, and complimentary drinks. The decor is gorgeous and the shower great. The hut is quiet and private, tucked away at the end of the garden under the trees. I woke each day to sweet birdsong. Even though it was very hot when I stayed, inside, the temperature was perfect. The food and drinks in the pub are also delicious, and the service excellent. Would recommend to everyone!

Just returned home after a very short ( only one night ) Stay every little thing was perfect . Every staff member friendly attentive special shout out to the superb Carol 5⭐️ Food and drinks excellent and room utterly gorgeous. From the minute you arrive you are made to feel welcome and utterly relaxed and those beds were so comfy and afternoon nap , early night and lay in ( never happened ) cannot recommend enough
