Visited South Shields for two nights on business this week 09/04-11/04/25. From start to finish the staff on site were so incredibly helpful and interactive it was rather refreshing. Special thanks to Sam & Helen on reception and also two ladies in the buffet/ breakfast kitchen, they were awesome. Room was clean and presentable and breakfast ( buffet style) was great. Please be aware that only breakfast is available at the moment as the neighbouring pud has been sold and is currently closed. I would recommend a 5 min drive to Vespa Italian and steak house on A194 or you can walk in to South Shields ( a lovely 1 hour leisurely walk) and visit Ocean Rd where there is a choice of multiple curry restaurants and bars. The beach is fantastic and there is a fun fair for younger members ( or big kids!) but this was closed on our visit. All in all a great town to visit. THANK YOU EVERYONE ❤️❤️

I thought that the overall price was very expensive for what appeared to be a standard room, in the middle of nowhere with one of the worst views ever! The reception area felt tired and worn and there was a smell of stale tobocao as you walked. The room felt clean and the bed was comfortable. A special shout out to Valerie at breakfast time (a tribute to the company) who was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful - and cheery!

Brilliant stay! The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for you! Their joyfulness was contagious! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Breakfast was delicious! The kitchen staff were happy and enjoyed a sing song to the radio which made for a great environment and free entertainment too!

A plus, rooms are fab, staff even better, no restaurant but staff have a list of best places to eat and delivery. Refurbed last year the only downside is premier inn didn't think to improve the entrance, overall a great place to stay.premier inn need to sort out a restaurant for it.

The bed and pillows were comfortable. Really excellent walk-in shower with endless hot water and very good pressure, both waterfall and hose. The fridge was very useful. Nice surprise to have chocolates and bottled water in the room. Very effective blackout curtains. All staff were polite cheerful and very helpful, and attentive, and there was always someone on Reception.

There was a warm welcome right from the start from the gentleman at reception. The room had been recently refurbished and was lovely and clean. No air conditioning in this hotel but we could open the window and as it was April it didn't really matter anyway. A fan was provided in the room Since our last stay here, the adjoining pub has shut down so breakfast was served in the hotel's own breakfast room. It was a bit cosy but the staff were unbelievably helpful and really couldn't do enough. The lady who was restocking and getting tables ready was so cheerful and attentive. All in all in made for a lovely experience. We will definitely be back.

Great location, ideal for exploring the area. The beds were really comfortable, which made for a restful stay. Helen and Valerie, the breakfast hosts, were so friendly and helpful—really made our mornings enjoyable. A decent budget option with standout hospitality where it counts.

There was some work going on that I was warned about but it had no affect on my stay. Lovely premier plus room, very smart and very clean. Excellent breakfast room and an extremely well cooked breakfast. All staff very pleasant, friendly & helpful
