Woodlands Hotel

We were married at the venue in September 2024 and our dealings with the hotel management team from the initial meeting onwards allowed us together to create our perfect wedding. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and everything during the day flowed perfectly for us and our guests. We were able to offer an excellent choice of menu catering for all tastes which was enjoyed by all. Our chosen decor was presented immaculately and expertly. The whole event which we had planned far exceeded our expectations and we and our guests had an amazing day.

The Woodlands Hotel hosted our wedding ceremony in June 2024, followed by an Afternoon Tea and Evening Reception. Gan and his team were amazing and could not do enough for us and our guests. Nothing was too much trouble and all our needs were accommodated superbly. The food was incredible, so much choice and a very high standard - far too much! Bridal Suite - spacious, bright and very comfortable . All in all a wonderful day was had by us and all our guests. Great value for money. Thank you Gan and your Team xx

Gan, the manager, does everything he can for you. He helped us in with our luggage, let us sit in the bar with our family and order a takeaway. He got us plates etc, then cleared up our rubbish. The next night he went and got us fish and chips. He made me a pot of tea, because I wasn't drinking. Was made to feel very welcome. Only issue, is the heating. When it comes on it makes a terrible racket.

We attended a family party here and thoroughly enjoyed our night, the staff were brilliant, very helpful and welcoming. Music was very good, food was great. This is a lovely venue with a great atmosphere, great for any events would highly recommend.

We held my sisters funeral wake here on 07/01/2025 and cannot rate the hotel and staff highly enough! The manager met us on entering the hotel and escorted us to the designated room where tables had been set with cups and saucers, glasses and a water jug. We had unlimited tea and coffee and the bar was open too for anyone who needed more than tea or coffee or water. We were asked when we wanted the food bringing out and when they did bring it, there was such a choice! 4 different types of sandwiches, pork pie, sausage rolls, samosas, spring rolls, chicken goujons, chicken strips, 2 different pizzas and the 4 different types of cakes! We really couldn’t believe our eyes! The staff were present but not intrusive. We were asked if we wanted to take any food home with us and the hotel supplied containers for us to do so and then the rest of the food was taken to the homeless people of Spalding. We really can’t heap enough praise on the hotel and staff for everything they have done for us today and are very grateful for the top rated service they supplied.

Friendly staff albeit dated hotel. Stayed for work so was there for 2 nights. If you like dated hotels then this is a charm. It actually had character and everything you need in the room. I arrived rotary club night so no food but had it explained happy to have take away delivered no problem at all. Offered to carry bags up, did not need help, but just lovely check in. Breakfast was simple but enough and quick and gentleman serving was so polite and lovely. Couldnt fault it. As a female travelling alone some places when I eat I can feel conspicious but here I didnt. Thats very important to me. Parking ample. Quiet at night. No problem with hotel at all.
