3-Star Hotels in Split

The hotel is in an incredible location, at an incredible price. The room and building were very clean with great facilities, though some of the room furniture, like the desk chair, could use a bit of a refurbishment. This however for most travelers will be no issue as you will want to be out and about exploring the city and using the room as just a home base. I will absolutely come and stay again, and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Split and my stay at Slavija. It can be a bit hard to find to those new to the winding streets, but the location is perfect for an unforgettable trip. Thanks to the staff at the Slavija for an incredible stay!

nice clean and modern hotel, friendly staff with a nice buffet breakfast. about 20 min walk to the old town and 10 min walk to the beach. poor wifi for remote working and front of hotel is at the back of building so slightly confusing finding it for the first time. overall good hotel for short stays in Split!

Me and my 2. brothers stayed there for 2 nigts night in Hotel As. Very lovely and friendly and helpful staff. We only stayed at House Sandra for one night but really enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect. It’s a 10 minute walk to the old town / tourist area - far enough away to be out of the noise of the town but easily close enough to walk in and out. There is a supermarket less than a 5 minute walk and a nice pizza restaurant just 2 minutes walk away. The room we had was on the top floor. (A bit tricky taking a large, heavy suitcase up the stairs to the entrance hall and again to the main room - but you only have to do it once). The room was really spacious with a fridge, coffee machine, and some plates and cutlery. It had good air conditioning and the TV had Netflix and Amazon Prime installed (although you need your own account details). There was also a large sofa which could easily sleep another person. The bathroom was also a good size - it had a shower but no bath. Everything was spotless. I can’t think of anything bad / negative to say about House Sandra.

The first thing to know about our room can NOT be ignored -- we had to walk up three flights of steep stairs to get to it. After a full day of enjoying our time in Split, this is NOT how we would want to end the day. Also, it is NOT fun to go up & down these stairs to pick up something we forgot to grab on the way out. If you have any kind of problem about going up steep stairs, I'd recommend avoiding our room. HOWEVER, this place is located near the harbor, the main bus station, old city, and typical pickup points for tours. Also, there are innumerable shops, restaurants, ATMs, and even a grocery store nearby. If location is important, this place would be hard to top. Our room had shower, AC, in-room safe, coffee-maker, iron & board (small), mini-fridge, free wifi, and TV with scores of choices. It was clean, well-maintained, and quiet. Staff was willing & able to take our suitcases up & down the stairs, an example of their willingness to make our stay pleasant. If you reserve directly with the hotel, and pay in cash, you can get a 10% discount. If you can overlook the steep & long staircase to get to your room, this place is good value for this city.
