Comfort Suites Hotels in Springfield

This property has slipped so far downhill that there are St. Bernard's sniffing around. Facilities are not updated and barely functional. Lounge is out of everything. Fitness center had minimal equipment that was working not to mention you feel like your in a horror movie walking to it. Don't stay here.

Nice hotel. There was a convention going on when we visit, so it was very busy. The elevators were not all working at the time of our visit so that was frustrating. The breakfast buffet was very good. Had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant. Easy parking next door. Cheap for city parking.

This hotel is dirty. Some of the linens were stained and there was an odor of mold in the room. The bathroom had mold in the shower and the shower bottom was stained. ( a little comet with bleach and scrubbing would take care if that) the toilet bowl was dirty and all it needed was a toilet scrubber to be taken to it. When using the elevator it was making a pulling noice which I felt was coming from the cables so I used the steps for the remainer of my stay, which had an odor of urine in the staircase. I do not recommend staying here. Dirty, Dirty, Dirty.

Came here to attend the state fair. Now i dont know much about Springfield, but im going to go out on a limb and say the state fair is the most excitement this city gets all year. That said,you would assume all hotels in the area would be fully prepared. Not State House! We arrived at 3 to a lobby full of people. Turns out no one could get a room because they ”werent ready”. Told to come back in an hour. This was the night of the Motley Crue concert so the majority of people were going to that. The one guy at the desk (i think his name was Sid?) was completely overwhelmed and the longer this went on the people got angrier and angrier. 4pm rolls around and still no rooms. People start yelling that they have had reservations since April and they want their room now (we prepaid our room back in June so i get it). We finally get the room at 530. The room was clean-ish but you could tell it was rushed. Pros: the a/c was amazingly cold and the floor we were on was quiet. Location is very central for getting almost anywhere in the city with minimal effort. Ample parking. Cons: aside from the check in debacle - The room had no soap, no extra toilet paper, not enough towels and one pillow was unusable because it had no pillowcase. I didnt expect it, after our check in experience, but no attention was given to the room for the whole four days we were there. The fitness room was gross and dirty. No cups for the water, TV didnt work, no wipes for the machines. Missing hand weights. Included breakfast was terrible looking and i didnt touch it. And i know this is not the current owners fault but WHY would you build a hotel with ZERO windows facing the capital? What a brain dead decision. I feel bad for the workers because they had to deal with a situation that was not their fault, but next time i attend the state fair i wont be staying here.

Breakfast starts at 7:00 weekends, 6:00 during the week! We’ve stayed here many times..usually all stays were during the week, so we knew we could get the breakfast at 6:00 to get early start on the road. This time we stayed Saturday night, to discover - at 6:00am Sunday - that breakfast starts at 7:00am on Saturdays and Sundays..not 6:00 as we had planned! Sure, there a small sign with hours but being used to 6:00 breakfast there..many times.. we were disappointed Sunday morning. Had to leave by 6:30 so no breakfast…

Northfield Inn provides a great location for a conference or family gathering. Easy central location to many of what Springfield, Il has to offer. A great family place to spend a weekend or work conference.
