Hotel Dar-Es-Salam

The hotel situated on the banka=s of nigeen lake has a great location not to far from the main city but not in the midst of it . Easy to finds autos so you dont need a car while in Srinagar. As mentioned by other reviewers the gardens are outstanding and it is a pleasure to just sit in the gardens as the gardens are a paradise for bird watchers ***** with the lake view. even in October they had flowers so assuming the flower blooming months would be a feast for the eyes. Our room was comfortable and while it had old world charm ***** with modern amenities . It was a spacious room on the ground floor. Loved this place and I felt it was an ideal place to stay while in Srinagar.

A wonderful small hotel that is a haven in Srinagar on the banks of the Nageen lake. It is about 20 mins from town. Food is excellent, service excellent, the garden is beautiful, rooms very comfortable and I look forward to returning here. The house is filled with wonderful objets d'arts in every room.

I went holidaying with friends to Srinagar and stayed at Dar e Salam . This was my second stay at this property. Most beautiful, cosy 14 room property, right on the banks of Nigern lake, with their own private shikara, away from hustle and bustle. Rooms are well appointed, comfortable and clean. With multiple lake facing lounges to laze and gaze at lake, bird watching. Staff courteous , friendly, always ready to help, and at the same time non interfering. Dinner buffet spread was excellent with local cuisine included. Last but not the least well appointed gardens and huge old oak tree in the lawns is just mesmerising.
