The LaLit Grand Palace Srinagar

Fabulous location, we were welcomed very warmly and the car was valet parked which was important as it was cold and raining. We were offered a warm drink and a comfortable place to sit whilst the formalities of check in were completed. We didn’t even have time to finish our drink before we were offered an upgraded room at no extra cost. WOW! The room was spacious, beautifully dressed and we were shown our own private balcony with the most spectacular view and this was also very nicely furnished. Everything was as we’d hoped and expected, because the hotel is EXPENSIVE, but we received exactly what we paid for. All the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the Pandemic has affected everyone and this hotel has had to do it’s best to survive these difficult times. The facilities in the Spa have been cut back to save costs but when we went to use it the place was warmed and treatments were enhanced to ensure we were more than satisfied. Luxury is expensive and we really enjoyed the pampering!!! All I can say is that this hotel and the treatment of their guests is everything you would expect for the price you have to pay. If wehad unlimited money we would stay only here when we visit Kashmir, which I do often to visit family. Even when we do visit family here we often visit the hotel, just to enjoy the gardens and admire the building and the ambience. Although we may not spend one penny on these visits the treatment by the staff has always been the same as we experienced on this visit. One word to describe this hotel FABULOUS.

From the time you step into the hotel, till it’s time to say goodbye, you as if you have taken a step back into time. The hotel has such a vast and rich history, was an absolute favourite of royalty, actors and celebrities past and present. Every corner of the hotel tells a story including the chinar trees in the well manicured gardens outside. The breakfast buffet in the outdoor garden is spectacular on a bright sunny morning with the santoor being played to serenade you. Post your visit to the bazaars, temples and forts don’t forget to take a dip in their heated indoor pool.

The front desk employee Mr. Mudasir Khursheed demonstrated excellent customer service skills throughout my stay. They handled check-in and check-out efficiently, provided clear information about hotel amenities, and responded promptly to inquiries. Their demeanor was consistently professional and welcoming. A valuable asset to the hotel team.

I had a wonderful stay at The Lalit Srinagar. The service was truly amazing, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. The property itself is beautiful, but what really stood out was the warm hospitality. A special mention to Mudasir from the front desk team, who was an incredible help throughout my stay. His professionalism, attentiveness, and friendly demeanor made everything seamless and comfortable. Truly a memorable experience—I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Srinagar!

Excellent ambience, top quality service and great hospitality by Safiya and Mushtaq, definitely recommended when you visit Srinagar. You will create some amazing memories here. Please do sit outdoors amidst nature.

The property is known by the staff from the involvement of the general manager to the front office staff to the security staff and the atts and dets of the property everyone went out of there way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. I am an army officer and strongly recommend this property to anyone visiting srinagar. A special mention to Rasalat at the front office and zahir and ajais the property is the best not only in Srinagar but in India . The staff looked after us not only at the breakfast table but in Every aspect of hospitality, God bless them . The location is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable n large the food sumsious and the hospitality memorable, kudos to the general manager keep up the great job Much appreciated jai hind
