Staybridge Suites ST George

I just returned from a trip to St. George for golf that my group has been attending for over 20 years with 50 guys that flew in from all over the US. The last hotel that we were staying at for 12 years had new management and decided that they could not accommodate us regardless that we helped them with our visits for two years during CoVid-19. Mindy the Sales Manager was eager to meet all of our hotel accommodations. The Staybridge Suites was a fantastic property, clean, comfortable and very functional for our group. David the engineer and his team were always present if the need for service noticed. Lena and her kitchen staff did a spectacular job of making sure that our breakfasts were not only delicious but made sure we could be feed in time to meet our tee times. Also, the afternoon treats and special Awards banquet was above and beyond. We are eager to book our stay at the Staybridge Suites.
Days Inn by Wyndham St. George

Staff was great all around, rooms were clean and looks like all had a view either North or South, pool area was clean. What made me choose this property was the reviews about the breakfast, so I chanced it and lost. Breakfast was adequate but nothing to write home about, although I have had much worse breakfasts at properties, I’ve also had much, much better so I decided it would be better to hit the local coffee shop and that was great.

The twin room is very spacious and comes with a fridge and coffee machine, and the bathroom is a bit small. There is a small gym on the first floor and a small swimming pool in the back yard. Breakfast is not bad, Western-style scrambled eggs, fried meatloaf, with homemade tomato chili sauce, with bagels, toast and other West Point, you can also live DIY waffles, cereal, milk, juice, coffee, yogurt, fruit is 🍎 and 🍊.

I had a can of Dasani water by my clothing at the pool. A motel worker made me get out of the pool and throw it away. she kept saying ”It's clearly posted that you're not allowed to drink at the pool.” Thinking she thought it was alcohol I tried to explain it was water. ”She just kept saying you're not allowed to drink at the pool” She also kept insisting that I can't smoke. I don't smoke, nor did I have any cigarettes or vapes poolside. Thinking this was a misunderstanding and talked to management Her response was to raise her voice at me claiming that ”No water allowed is clearly marked at the door when you walk in, and accused me of blatantly breaking the rules.” Aside from being yelled at over a misunderstanding The reason I'm upset is it also clearly says ”No diving.” The employee who made me throw away my water was not only letting her small daughter dive into the pool she was throwing her into the shallow water. The rules posted only say No beverages in glass containers, not no beverages period There are several no-diving signs all around the pool. I guess the employees can pick and choose what rules to enforce. none of this should have escalated at all.
Hampton Inn St. George

Though the hotel is located on the outskirts of town, it is just off the highway and only 10-15 minutes from most restaurants and shops. The hotel is clean, bright and consistent with other Hampton Courts we have visited. This is a good intermediate location on the way to Zion National Park. Tip: take time to visit Snow Canyon State Park on the north side of St. George. You can easily hike the petrified sand dunes.
Best Western Plus Abbey Inn

Spacious room and excellent breakfast. While it's not cheap, for the price we paid, compared to other hotels we stayed at during our 2 weeks in Utah, the value was excellent. We booked a 1 bedroom suite in the South Building and had a nicely sized suite that had a separate bedroom for my husband and I and our kids shared the sofabed. The bathroom was large and there was a second sink outside the bathroom, which was helpful for four people. We didn't really use the efficiency kitchen since we only stayed one night but it would have been handy if we had stayed longer. The pool area was small but provided plenty of fun for us. The breakfast was the real star. Definitely the best included breakfast we had during our 2 weeks. Lots of hot and cold choices and the make-your-own belgian waffles were far superior to a Days Inn we stayed at the night before. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in St. George.
