At Heritage House

Located in town close to everything. Host (Bonita) was awesome and very helpful. Spacious bedrooms with ensuite. Booked 3 rooms in the main building. Had a tasty breakfast laid out in a beautiful verandah area, which also includes a lovely outdoor lounge section to relax in after a long day out. Convenient, as tours pick you up from doorstep and driven around by experienced tour guides with great knowledge of the area. It is a B&B, so common living area, with Helper’s service available, if required. We did a sunset tour drive as well as the river boat tour and the half day Game drive. Got to see various wildlife on all tours, only missing out on lion and leopard, which is understandable. We even got to see the Townies (Hippos) walking the street at night, which was a bonus. There are also resident Warthogs (Pumba’s) that roam the streets, so be on the lookout. An amazing place and highly recommend a visit here

I am so glad I added 4 days into my South African holiday and even more pleased that I chose @Heritage House for my accommodation. My room was lovely with it's own little patio to enjoy a morning coffee. The breakfasts were cooked to order with a vast array of accompaniments. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly with nothing being too much trouble to make my visit such a memorable one. I would also like to add that the coordination of my activities was outstanding, as was the standard of catering for the meal and refreshment breaks on these adventures. Special thanks to Bonita (and Shaggy) for making my stay feel like a home away from home. Bonus was on the last night when I followed the hippo's from the main street back to @Heritage!

My mum and I had a 2 night 3 day safari package. On arrival we were greeted by big smiles and a gorgeous pup. Everything was really well organised and the room itself was very nice. I would definitely recommend this place! (In fact my cousin is booking this soon!)

Posted on TripAdvisor “Absolutely loved our stay at Heritage House with Heritage Tours and Safaris. The accommodation was comfortable, quiet and charming. Bonita is a great host who went out of her way to take excellent care of our every need and to ensure we had an amazing time. The tours and safaris were well organised and thoroughly enjoyed. The staff we had the pleasure of meeting were friendly and knowledgeable and made it clear they were committed to making our visit memorable. I’m sure all the staff are amazing but special mention must be made of Bheki who encouraged us to patiently wait over an hour for a herd of elephants to escort their young across a road. Phindi who took us on an interesting and informative adventure with incredible up close sightings of elephant in the Hluhluwe / iMfolozi reserve with a champagne lunch when she heard we were celebrating birthdays, to Siyabonga who made sure our time on the beach in Cape Vidal and our game drive through the Isimangaliso wetlands was outstanding. The dunes and swamp were breathtaking and even pointing out unusual sightings like an Egret and Jacana in battle to protect the latters babies. Our sunset boat cruise with Thobile was an eye opener being in such close proximity to so many hippo and her anecdotes were informative and amusing. The town is small and friendly and extremely close (walkable to the accommodation). The meals were all enjoyable and seeing the hippo and warthog walking through the streets, two out of three nights, during dinner was a highlight! Overall this trip was one that will be remembered for many years and where we will bring friends and family in the future. “

Charming accommodation, spacious room, bathroom and shower. Only a short walk to the restaurants and bars. Bonita and her staff were extremely welcoming, hospitable and accommodating and everything was done with a smile on their faces. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Bonita also gave us excellent recommendations, guidance and advice for restaurants and tours. Very happy with all aspects of our stay (5 nights) and would definitely recommend.

Firstly we were greatly helped by Owner Bonita as we were on a long road trip & could not arrive until late. She helped a lot & we were so pleased to arrive to a very comfortable & attractive room with lounge area as well where we could relax before collapsing into a very comfortable bed. Very well appointed bathroom with good shower & very nice toiletries. Fridge stocked with water too. Excellent breakfast next morning on lovely patio overlooking the pool. Would have liked to have stayed longer & enjoyed the place itself & some of the exciting trips that Bonita offers. Excellent value .
