I'm so happy I chose this hotel for my stay. It has everything you need and more. The very clean room was larger than I expected (single occupancy) and had plenty of storage and an ensuite shower room. The breakfast that was included was lovely and Celeste had vegi sausages available. I didn't use the pool but some of the other guests did and said it was lovely. It is a 30 minute walk to St Peter Port which is downhill going and uphill coming back. Celeste could not do enough for you and I would definitely return here if I came back to visit Guernsey.

This hotel was a complete disappointment. The manager was rude, and I faced unexpected additional charges when I checked out. The rooms are tiny, with single beds and barely any light, making them feel gloomy and unwelcoming. Avoid this place at all costs.

I had an awful experience at this hotel. The lady running it was unfriendly, and I was hit with significant extra charges at the end of my stay. The rooms are small, with single beds and very poor lighting, making them extremely dark and unpleasant.

I spent three weeks at this hotel for work in Guernsey, and it was a nightmare. The establishment is outdated, and the manager is deceitful. There were evenings when I wanted to have dinner at the hotel, but she would tell me it was fully booked, only notifying me at 7 pm. The meals, which cost £30, were light and unappetizing. The most frustrating part was being forced to switch to a much smaller room with a single bed and no shutters midway through my stay. The service I received was disgraceful, especially considering I was a good customer.

Just had a lovely 11 night break in this Hotel and can’t fault it. Accommodation was brilliant on the ground floor with a door into the garden which is lovely. Unfortunately the pool wasn’t open when we were there but can’t have everything and it looked lovely too. The food was outstanding, Celeste accommodated for everyone’s taste and even got me some Marmite, yum. Breakfasts were great and hot as were the evening meals which we had for the last 6 nights. Good choices too. There is a nice well stocked Bar too which we used every night. Celeste works hard making sure everyone is looked after, don’t know how she does it. We will definitely be going back. Thank you Celeste x

My husband and I stayed for ten days at La Michele Hotel and had a fantastic time. The hotel is ideally situated for driving or taking the bus to St Peters Port, also for visiting Saumerez Manor and the nearby Fermain beach. However, what made the experience so great was not the location but our landlady, Celeste. Although it seemed she had no assistance while we were there, Celeste went out of our way to make us feel welcome and cater to our every need. Quite literally-I had some lovely breakfasts of boiled eggs and soldiers and kippers that I requested, and she made my husband beans on toast. I was a hotel breakfast chef myself for years, but love being on the other side! The room was comfortable, the gardens lovely and we spent a happy evening in the lounge playing Scrabble. I'll be returning to Guernsey next August to see the Flower Festival, and have booked Fermain Tower for a couple of nights. I might check in with Celeste too, for another few...

Unfortunately, our first impressions were not ideal. Although we are both elderly, our suitcases had to be carried from car to room ourselves with no offer of help. Due to the ferry being delayed by 2 hours we did not arrive at the hotel until 4.00pm. However, upon enquiring as to the time that evening dinner was served we were informed that evening meals had to be ordered in the morning ( totally impossible when the ferry did not get into St.Peter Port until 3.30pm along with the fact that you were not allowed in the hotel until the afternoon ) and that we would have to eat elsewhere. The next morning the toilet seat was found to be defective. Upon examination it had obviously been damaged previously but had not been replaced. In fairness, a replacement seat was fitted the same day. The following day I had to request an insecticide due to ants in the bathroom and cupboard. I am quite sure that in the height of the season the garden area would be lovely. Unfortunately, in May the grass had not had its’ first cut and was quite long. Similarly, the swimming pool had a plastic cover over it and was certainly not ready for guests. Whilst we would say we were extremely disappointed with the hotel, in so much that we only stayed for 4 out of 13 days, the establishment itself was extremely clean. Breakfasts were well cooked and served hot. Parking, allowing for the fact that there were not many guests, was not a problem. We had the distinct impression that the owner appeared to be on her own when it came to the work and running of the establishment and there was only so much she could do, which probably accounted for the outside area not being ready for guests in May. In view of the reluctance to serve evening meal on our first day and no mention of evening meals for our remaining stay, coupled with the lack of the advertised swimming pool we would comment that this establishment is more of a Bed & Breakfast rather than a hotel
