The location is magnificent and the staff are lovely, but we were very disappointed by the facilities. The room overlooked the courtyard and we had the loud noise of the kitchen ventilation in the background. The mattress was older than me, springs in the back... Very uncomfortable. The food is decent but the prices are too high. Fish and chips, frozen fish, shame... In short, I won't be coming back here.

Room was quite dated, but the bed was comfortable and the bus stop right outside made travelling around the island a doddle. We also had a long wait trying to check in despite ringing the service bell multiple times, so didn't have the greatest of starts to our stay, but it quickly became a good base for all our excursions.

We were stuck in Guernsey due to our ferry to Alderney being cancelled and with 3 dogs thought we would struggle to find anywhere to stay. The imperial took us in and is very dog friendly; everything else was great too. The friendly staff, good beer and great food. They turned an inconvenience into what felt like a little holiday, thank you all so much.

Love this hotel! The location is stunning with incredible sea views, from the dining room but also from our bedroom. Rooms are really comfortable, staff fantastic, food really good and very reasonable. Perfect in every way! Thanks to Frankie, Chester and Rebecca and all the team

Another Fantastic stay at the Imperial. A big Thank you To Rob and Tony and Chester and Especially Rebecca. So so helpful can not do enough for you to make your stay so special she is definitely a value asset of the hotel. Randall’s you have a 5 star employee look after her. Fantastic breakfast The only grumble we have is the menu. Not enough simple choices. Pies or spaghetti dishes or Lasagna or Roasts on a Sunday. Approached the chief about a few menu changes for the future. Wasn’t interested at all. I would of thought listening to your customers might suggest that there’s a problem with the Menu. Another great stay see you in September guys and Thanks again

We really enjoyed our stay in this peaceful location. We had a large comfortable room overlooking the sea. We have visited the island several times and we only wish we had stayed here sooner. The hotel is a real gem. Breakfast was very good while enjoying the view from the windows. Staff are friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. Next time we hope to come in the summer to enjoy sitting on the terrace in the evening and watch the sunset. We really can’t think of anything that could have made our stay better. Perfect couple of days.

Last minute check in due to dj’ing a party and got a room. Receptionist and staff very polite and helpful and the room was light and airy. Beds very comfortable and the shower was a welcome wake up. Not the biggest or most grand room but better than driving home at 1am, meant we could have a couple of drinks. Definitely recommended for a weekend or longer and a great place to relax.
