The Endeavour Restaurant with Rooms

Travelled as a couple for a 3 night break. We stayed in the first floor whitby room which was perfect. Lovely comfy bed and Cameron is a superb host and his breakfasts are amazing. Very welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. I paid for the glenvale car park in advance which was easy and recommended. We ate out at the cod and lobster and the pub right opposite The Endeavour. Both of which did amazing food. A walk along the Cleveland way into Runswick is also highly recommended for a nice day out. Will definitely return.

I'm still here, leaving tomorrow, a 2 night stay at The Endeavour . Cameron and Caroline were the perfect hosts so friendly and welcoming. The Endeavour is perfectly situated on the main high street. We stayed in the Tahiti room which was spotless . The bed and pillows were so comfy. Little touches of complementary milk , water, shampoo conditioner , shower gel, hand wash and even bath salts made it home from home. A big plus is the room downstairs where we could enjoy ourselves with friends until late in the evening. Generally, snacks are available and a fridge with drinks. Nothing to add, nothing to subtract. I recommend. L Unfortunately most mobile networks don't work in Staithes, Wi-Fi works fine in Endeavour, thanks 👌

We stayed here for three nights during a visit to North Yorkshire. It`s an excellent Bed & Breakfast accommodation in the heart of Staithes, a very short distance from the quayside. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, with advice about restaurants, walks, and local places of interest to visit, and were on hand should there have been further need for help. Our bedroom was comfortable, there was a restful snug room on the ground floor with an honesty bar, and a lovely small restaurant room at the front where generous and enjoyable breakfasts were served. We were provided with fresh milk for our room, daily; a very nice touch. Staithes is a very interesting place to explore, with echoes of its`maritime heritage around every corner. Access is available for drop-off by car, though given the constricted road access in this historic place we chose to park our car using the options as advised by the owners, just a few minutes walk above the village. We would certainly recommend The Endeavour as a place to stay when visiting Staithes. A warm, smart and friendly place to spend time in, with owners who clearly value their visitors.

My husband and myself have just returned from a lovely' Easter break at the Endeavor. Our hosts Cameron and Caroline were very welcoming. Our room was (The botany bay) which was very spacious and bright, decorated beautifully and had Lovely Sea Views, However it is advisable to remember to DUCK! as the low Beams and Dipped Ceilings tend to WACK you when your not looking where your walking. Cameron makes an outstanding breakfast and told us all about the area and the Locals which if I may add are very friendly but do tend to Claim the bar area in the The Royal George opposite' reserving seats from 17.30 onwards so be prepared to have sit on someone's knee. their so friendly they wouldn't mind. We didn't really find much to do in Staithes there's a Lovely harbor and the Cod and Lobster do Amazing fish and chips. there's a Pizza /Café, a couple of gift shops, Dotties fabulous tea room and a Museum. but once you've seen all that there's not much to do but it does make a great base and I would very much recommend Glenvale Car parking, it made parking a whole lot easier knowing your space is ready and waiting for you and it is yours for the whole of your stay. All in all a very nice Bed and breakfast in a Quaint little village.

Pleasant host and good cooked breakfast but a big part of a bed and breakfast is the BED. The twin beds felt hard and grid-like. On inspection we found that the one-sided IKEA mattresses had been turned upside down! The more comfortable but badly stained sleeping surfaces were face down. Turned over they were more comfortable, if off-putting. The sheet and duvet were spotless but the mattress covers needed a wash. The rest of the room was fine, just needs new mattresses. Sleeping comfort is too much to ask of most British B&Bs in our experience, whereas we have yet to find such blatant disregard for comfort abroad.

My husband booked The Endeavour in Staithes for my birthday, we had a lovely mini break staying in the Rhode Island room, the room was so comfy, really cosy, plenty of room, loved the complimentary tea & coffee with fresh milk and filtered water, and toiletries, smelt divine. Breakfast was delicious, all locally sourced and cooked to perfection, perfect poached eggs every morning. The Endeavour is in a perfect location, between a fab pub and the beach. Cameron and Caroline were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble, with a font of knowledge of the local area. Will definitely visit again.
