Burgenstock Hotel & Alpine Spa

The service management was incredibly chaotic. We were never informed about the shuttle boat schedule, and when we tried to pre-book tennis courts and restaurants, we were told they were full, only to find them empty upon arrival. The lobby was always messy with many outside visitors taking photos. It felt like they gave Chinese guests the worst rooms, and the front desk staff were arrogant. The only redeeming quality was the scenery; otherwise, it's just another influencer-style hotel.

The spa was absolutely perfect. We got an upgrade to a lake-view room, and the view was incredible. The hotel's overall environment and cleanliness were impeccable. It would be even better if they had Chinese-speaking reception staff and a butler in the future.

An absolutely wonderful historic resort, it's clear why it's been the choice of politicians and celebrities for over 150 years... We booked a mountain view room, and while upgrading to a lake view would have been even better, we were already very satisfied!

If the weather's bad, it's a really unpleasant experience. The front desk staff's attitude towards Chinese guests was pretty mediocre too. Plus, the promised Chinese-speaking reception that Trip.com guaranteed was nowhere to be found. Doesn't feel worth the price.

The environment is beautiful, but the mountain view room had a strong horse manure smell when it rained and the door was opened.

The room was comfortable and the views were amazing. The service was very attentive; we arrived early for our morning flight and the hotel promptly arranged our check-in.

The lake-view room was fantastic, and the overall hotel design is excellent, especially the infinity pool, which offers direct stunning views. They also have various saunas, steam rooms, and a spa. The public facilities are superb, with great views everywhere you look, making for perfect photo opportunities. The breakfast also comes with a view, which I really enjoyed.

The communication facilities weren't as good as initially described. There was no self-service laundry, and no Chinese-speaking staff.

Excellent service, very thoughtful. I'll definitely come back next time!
