Hotel M Morgantown - Wvu Area

I have been staying here for a couple weeks now. I was only going to stay for two nights, but the family atmosphere here is unlike anywhere else. Sam and RuPal are wonderful people and make you feel so welcome. The staff, especially Reese and Rebecca, are so helpful and friendly. My room is very clean. The location is great. The room has a television and refrigerator. Super comfortable bed! Antique looking furniture in the rooms. Super quiet and peaceful. Kitchenettes are available in certain rooms.

We came into Morgantown for my graduation and staying over night was required. What should have been a great evening turned quickly into one of disgust. Getting checked in took forever- had to call a phone number and waited for 15 minutes for no one to show up. Called again, finally someone showed up. We went to the room and it was run down but appeared okay. We went to dinner, came back and the key wouldn’t work. Then, again wait for someone to answer the phone to come fix the card. Then we arrived in the room and took a shower. That’s when all of the critters started coming out: in the bathroom, on the dresser, on the bathroom floor (numerous crawlers on the floor), behind the picture, and on the headboard of the bed!! We were checked in a total of 2-3 hours ( 1.5 of those hours we were away at dinner) and checked out immediately. We were offered another room but after what we saw- no thank you. We were offered a refund by an employee and the manager refused it since we were in the room for too long. Out of towners- You’ve been warned!!! We also have several pictures to back this claim up.

This is a terrible property. It is filthy, all of the surfaces felt like they were covered in grime. The room was infested with fruitflies. There was a big water stain over the toilet. The door to the room wouldn't close properly or bolt from the inside. The bed didn't have a top sheet and the cover was nasty and felt damp. The staff was not friendly or helpful.

We visit Morgantown frequently due to having a college student there. We try to make at least one game a year and most of the hotels were booked so we decided to try this one and never again. First, the doorhandles to the rooms were so loose, a huge gap at bottom of door so bugs can get in. Musty, old smoke smell in the rooms. Toilet was so wobbly we were afraid to use it and we received no towels. When we went to the front desk, nobody was there. I can keep going on and on. This hotel is definitely on my do not book list.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Please do not go here. It is the worst place I have ever been at. I ended up not staying due the bugs in the room and the poor service from the front desk guy who refused to give me back my money. He said "There are no bugs in our rooms." I would not ever make that up. Anywhere else has to be better.

Older hotel that they are renovating and updating rooms. VERY basic but all I needed for a one night place to sleep for a football game night. Clean and the staff were really nice and friendly. Great location. Outside steps to get to 2nd floor. Would not be my choice for a long weekend or if needed to spend time at the hotel but priced right.
