Een nacht weg geboekt vanwege bezoek aan de kerstmarkt. Binnenkomst was erg matig totaal geen uitleg. Restaurant was gesloten. Het zwembad was erg koud… Bedden lagen erg hard en kussens als postzegels. Nee 4 sterren is het totaal niet waard. Minibar waar je extra voor moest betalen. Het enige positieve was het ontbijt. Latte Machiato? Ook daar moest je extra voor betalen. Redelijke omgeving maar dat hotel niet meer weer.

Das Hotel ist einrichtungstechnisch zwar nicht topmodern, aber sehr sehr gepflegt, in gutem Zustand, sauber. Alles ist grosszügig eingerichtet, die Ausstattung ist auch sehr gut. Ruhige Zimmer. Das Personal war durchweg sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, wenn auch westfälisch zurückhaltend. Die Küche ist hervorragend. Tolle Auswahl auf der Speisekarte, gute Abwechslung, sehr lecker zubereitete Gerichte, die Tomatensuppe war frisch und klasse und auch den anderen Gerichten (Spargel) hat man angemerkt, dass hier frisch gekocht wurde, das galt für Salate, Fleisch und Beilagen. Hier lohnt es sich auch einfach nur zum Essen einzukehren, richtig gut!

Wir waren Freitag Abend zu dritt im Restaurant Schünemann und sehr positiv überrascht, was uns dort erwartete. Schon der Gruß aus der Küche war lecker (Räucherfischpastete) , meine Vorspeise (Ziegenkäsevariationen an Rote Beete Carpaccio) lecker, das Rindersteak perfekt gebraten und superzart. Was mich am meisten gefreut hat, dass jedes unserer Hauptgerichte begleitet wurde von einem leckeren Salat und jeweils frischem Gemüse, geschmackvoll und auf den Punkt (viele Restaurants geizen unverständlicherweise gerade daran). Das Kartoffelgratin ebenfalls lecker. Mein Dessert (hausgemachtes Zimteis mit Pflaumen) mußte dann auch noch sein und hat sich gelohnt. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!!!
