Have been lucky enough to go to Stellenbosch a couple of times over the last few years, and when I return I will be looking no further than De Hoek Manor as it is a wonderful place to stay. Location is excellent with everything that you want within easy walking distance, but the building itself is the star as it is a lovely place to call home for a few days, especially if you are looking for somewhere to relax and chill a bit after some hectic days in Cape Town. Accomodation is beautiful with lovely rooms and plenty of areas to just sit and chill if you are looking to relax for a couple of hours. Lounge area with the balcony is just a really pleasant place to spend time, and even though the Manor was fully occupied during our recent stay, it never feels busy and you can always find an area that is out of the way if you are looking for some time alone to relax. Thanks to all of the staff who were excellent, but a special thank you to Ilse who is a lovely lady and a wonderful host. Ilse has a great knowledge of the local area and clearly has some great contacts that she can recommend for local activities and vineyard visits. Would be more than happy to recommend if you are looking to stay in this area.

We have stayed here a number of times over the years and I must say it’s fabulous. The staff are all excellent, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is great and the rooms are well furnished, big and beautifully serviced daily. There’s a safe and fridge in the room. The bathrooms are well equipped and have nice powerful showers. Good aircon too. Parking is across the street in secure parking and the location is perfect for a stay in Stellenbosch.

Fantastic location, very central to shops, restaurants and the river for a walk. The B&B was beautiful and the staff amazing. Lovely breakfast which was serviced and not self service. Tourist information office is next door to the B&B and this made booking trips very easy. There was also a living museum opposite the B&B that looked very interesting, I saw period dressed staff moving around from house to house, but sadly didn’t have time to visit. Stellenbosch is a beautiful town with lots to do. Worth a visit.

The room was very large and comfortable. It's a quaint property right opposite a Church (there are many many churches in Stellenbosch so I can't recall it's name) which tolls the bell every hour and half hour, it's not unpleasant but if you are a light sleeper it could affect you. This B&B is within walking distance of some great restaurants, galleries and shops in Stellenbosch and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay.

De Hoek ligt midden in het centrum van Stellenbosch en heeft een veilige, afgesloten parkeerplaats voor de auto. Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij. Het ontbijt was erg goed en werd met liefde voor ons klaargemaakt. Het was onze trouwdag en de kinderen hadden gevraagd om bloemen en champagne op onze kamer te zetten. Dit was prima verzorgd met nog een extra lekkere doos chocolade van De Hoek zelf. Top geregeld.

Sehr liebevoll geführtes kleines Manor von Ilse und ihren zwei Mitarbeiterinnen. Wir bekamen eine Vielzahl von Informationen. Zimmer und Bad waren groß genug, die Dusche sehr geräumig. Die Klimaanlage war sehr leise. Die Lage zur Innenstadt ist optimal, gerade um die Ecke. Wir haben uns sehr sicher und gut aufgehoben hier gefühlt. Das Frühstüc wurde liebevoll zubereitet. Das Käse-Bacon-Omelett ist empfehlenswert. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis war ausgezeichnet.
