Victoria Square & the Orangery

Service at this B&B was wonderful. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay. Our room #5 was very nice in relation to the bedroom itself, however the pillows were so thin we did not sleep comfortably. The bathroom, however, was absolutely terrible. There was an odor during our entire stay to the point I dreaded to even go in the bathroom. The bathtub is a rolltop tub that is very high off the floor. It would be very easy to slip and fall. The shower curtain surrounds you completely and leaves you hardly any room to move while attempting to take a shower. The curtain sticks to you. The curtain is suspended from the ceiling, and it would be very easy to accidentally pull it down. This must have happened before as we were told to be careful in regard to this. For the price, this is not acceptable. Our stay was barely 48hrs, so we didn't bother to mention our concerns to management as the inn was fully booked so we would not have been able to move rooms. I would stay here again, but I would absolutely avoid room #5.

We were very disappointed with our stay on September 3, 2024. We booked an upgraded room, “Room 10 Deluxe Garden Level”, with an upgraded rate (the most expensive in the inn). This is in fact a very expensive Basement Room with a view of retaining walls! Rooms 8, 9 & 10 are all located in the basement. As with most basement rooms the air was humid and musty. The inn is aware of this as when we arrived our room had an open window and a dehumidifier running full tilt. We immediately notified the front desk that this room was unacceptable and we requested to be moved within the inn, or refunded for our room rate so that we could find alternative lodging. We were told that a move was out of the question as the inn was fully booked and that the inn’s manager was not available until the next morning. It is three days later and we have yet to hear from the manager. This inn does not deserve its Trip Advisor rating and should be avoided, especially Rooms 8, 9 & 10.

Best restaurant by far in Stirling! Amuse bouche served in the drawing room was delicious, set the tone for the next 4 courses. The attention to detail was exceptional- every component part to every plate was beautifully prepared, with the most delicate, fresh herbs and flavours. So keen to go back again

Hotel was excellent as usual, staff were very polite and informative., meal first class as was the breakfast next day, our room was so comfortable with really nice views over the square. Lovely stay and will certainly be back again whenever we can get the chance

We have stayed on several occasions but did so with friends this time, they loved it!! Our evening meal was exceptional and if anything the place just gets better. Best place to stay in Stirling by a country mile. Will definitely be back in the near future. Staff are always friendly and welcoming.

This is the second time I have stayed at this delightful hotel and I feel sure it will not be the last. It really is worthy of its five star rating on Trip Advisor. The rooms are spotlessly clean, warm and well equipped. There’s a very nice residents lounge where you can sit in comfortable settees and enjoy a quiet drink. Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, as was breakfast the following morning.
