The property is well run and maintained by Maria and her son Pieter. It is obvious that much has been done to elevate the property to the good condition that it's in at the moment. The rooms are well appointed and clean. Attention to detail is good.

SGL was peaceful and serene. The room was spacious, beds very comfortable. Bathroom dated, could do with a bit of a makeover. I cut myself on a sharp shower corner, hence -1 star. Most delicious breakfasts included in stay, will definitely go back to SGL !

Friendly staff make this place a gem! Breakfast was lovely - good range and tasty food. Even offered us an extra early breakfast as we had an early start. Everything in the room worked and it was clean. Keeping how much we paid and the value for money angle in mind, it was excellent! The team are clearly working hard to make a success of this hotel - and for a lodge in an activity driven area, it's a gem!

We stayed at Storms River Lodge from 27 until 30 January. What a nice experience. We were received by a very friendly Pieter who who promptly booked us in and show us our room. Breakfast consist of a nice variety and was served by friendly staff. Mari continuously advised us on things to do an even accompany us on visits to Natures Valley and Keurbooms beach.

We had to cancel days before our planned stay in the guesthouse because my daughter had to go to the hospital. Since the house is always fully booked, I was hoping that the room would be released and that it could be booked again if necessary. Unfortunately, the accommodation didn't suit us at all.
