Very comfortable stay at the hotel. The staff were extremely kind and helpful and responded quickly to any needs. The atmosphere was cozy. We had everything we needed in the room and staff went out of their way to ensure that the accommodation was as comfortable as possible. I would definitely stay there again 😁

We looked for a hotel with swimmingpool for our grand daughter, this was a perfect solution only 1 hour+ from Ålesund. On arrival, we were greeted very well by the receptionist, then we had one of the best dinners I have tasted, with the help from the hotel's sjef, supplying a selection of local cheeses - perfect. Then of course, the swimming pool, 30 Degrees C, and needs a little TLC, but clean and only a few other people. The room itself, 304, was in the old part of the hotel, but perfect WiFi, not many TV channels. The beds and furniture were clean and upto date. Yes, we will be back, a perfect solution.

We went to Stranda for a fjord race, so we stayed there for 3 or 4 nights. It was the only hotel option in Stranda but they could do better. The hotel is, overall, old and neglected. It seems they aren’t interested in doing any better. And they send us to a especially old room with humidity in the selling, old bed and a 80´s bathroom. Cleaning is not available on Sundays (!) and since they had some young guys working nobody could serve alcohol. We had to go to the bar. Even if we were having dinner in the restaurant. Breakfast is very limited and poor. Access to the sauna and pool is always complicated. Everything is complicated. In the end it doesn’t seem a four-star hotel. Not even a three-star hotel. And its not cheap. The kids working there were inexperienced but nice. Probably the best part of the hotel.

Sober hotel maar voldoende netheid en wel een goed zwembad. Het ontbijt was een teleurstelling omdat niks wordt aangevuld en de verschillende schotels lijken aangekoekt en soms zelfs leeg. Op een speciaal verzoek (de dag voordien) voor lactosevrije producten bij het ontbijt werd positief geantwoord maar helaas was er de volgende dag niks van waar. Omwille was de onvriendelijkheid van de ontbijtverantwoordelijke ben ik niet in discussie gegaan maar heb wel gezegd dat dit werd besproken. Er was duidelijk geen bereidheid om er naar op zoek te gaan. Een droge NEE kon ik alleen krijgen. Dit is niet bevorderlijk voor de reputatie van het hotel. We zijn 2 dagen gebleven: de bedden worden niet opgemaakt en de handdoeken niet bijgevuld. Enkel op verzoek. Het ontbijt van de 2de dag was nog beperkter dan de 1ste dag. Het leek wel de overschot te zijn....zelf fruit was er niet aanwezig. Op is op lijkt de motto

We waren hier met een groep, Hotel wordt blijkbaar maar door 2 mensen gerund, die zowel receptie, bar én restaurant moeten doen. Voorgerechtje gewoon wat soep, zonder broodje ofzo, hoofdgerecht met 3 schijfjes wortel, stukje vlees en puree die ik na 3 schepjes op had. Het dessert ronduit belachelijk, 2 blokjes chokolade ?! En de gids heeft zelf nog naar koffie moeten smeken. Ontbijt grootste grap, enkel brood op tafel en de rest op bestelling ??! Kamer is ruim, maar badkamer verandert in een zwembad na een douche, want de douchewand staat 10 cm boven de grond en de afvoer loopt niet af. Nergens een schakelaar voor het licht uit te doen op de badkamer ook ?? Zwembad is warm en fijn, vandaar 1 ster voor de kamer en 1 voor het zwembad
