It was our first time staying at a B&B and it was amazing. Very clean and comfortable and it's a short walk to town. John's breakfasts were delicious and filling, and we enjoyed meeting all the other guests. Amanda gave us lots of recommendations for things to see and places to go. We'll definitely be going back!

We had a lovely stay at the Avery House when we came to see “ Something Rotten”. It was a beautiful, sunny day and we had an easy short walk to the Festival Theatre. We really enjoyed sipping Rosé in the sunshine on the upper porch, while admiring the beautiful fall colours and pretty flowers. The room was clean and well equipped, and the breakfast was delightful. It was nice to chat with the other guests at the family style table while enjoying our delicious breakfast. Amanda and John are wonderful hosts,and made us feel very welcome. We hope to be able to return next year!

Our experience of twice staying at Avery House, added to the several visits of our adult children, make us think that it is the perfect place to stay in Stratford while you are attending the Shakespeare Festival. It is within easy walking distance of the three theatres and the centre of town. On both occasions our room had a very comfortable bed for a good night's sleep, a clean, well-equipped bathroom, and easy chairs. One had a porch for enjoying fine weather. The best features of Avery House are, however, its wonderful hosts, John and Amanda, who are alert to your every need and request. They are always willing to provide suggestions for lunch and dinner that will add to the pleasures of your visit, and good advice on any other matter when asked. John's excellent cooked breakfasts are legendary for their taste and variety, and served family style at their long table, they give you a chance to start the day with interesting conversation with the other guests from far and near, usually beginning with their repsonses to the plays currently on offer, but soon broadening out to other topics. We have found that most of the people you meet at Avery House have stayed there before, often many times before. That's surely the best testimony of its delightful character there can be. John and Amanda are wonderful hosts. They make you feel welcomed and at home. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had the tiny room and it was perfect for a place to crash after seeing the shows. The location is perfect. Walking distance to the theatres and to the dowtown. The breakfast is AMAZING! It is the perfect get away. Will definitely return!

We have stayed at Avery House several times. It has always consistently been a great experience with comfortable rooms and delicious breakfasts. The Bed and Breakfast is within walking distance of all the theaters and restaurants. The owners are also very organized and everything goes so smoothly. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Avery house is such a special spot in Stratford. Amanda and John make you feel right at home, and all communication in the run up to the stay was clear and helpful. Our room was spacious and perfectly appointed, and the breakfast was delightful. We absolutely loved our stay and will be back!

The best B and B experience you can have in Stratford, bar none. Located an easy walking distance from all the Festivals theatres this property has beautiful decor, and comfortable beds. The wow factor here is John's incredible breakfasts. They are served at 9 am family style in the gorgeous dining room of the main house. A service of fruit (with yogurt, granola or oatmeal), daily baking and the hot presentation of sausages, bacon or eggs in some sublime form never disappoints. The plus is the lively discussion that always occurs around the table of theatre patrons.

A fantastic weekend getaway spot! The room was clean, comfortable and nice. Location wise, Avery House is a perfect middle ground between the downtown ***** and the Festival Theatre. Walking is definitely the way to go. Amanda & John were the perfect hosts, with great in town recommendations and a delicious morning breakfast. My girlfriend and I cannot wait to come back to Avery House in the years to come!
