Hotel Residence la Luna Nel Porto

Review of Hotel and Residenza La  with microwave and a dishwasher, a large bathroom with twin vanity basins, a large living area, and an enormous bedroom with a queen-sized bed. Both the living area and the bedroom have French doors, opening to the terrace and shutters to keep the rooms dark at night. The suites also have a double sofa bed and an extra pull-down bed so they can accommodate 5 people. The cooking facilities in theit hen are only available for stays of 5 days orore or by previous arrangement Breakfast is optional or you can have a ontinental breakfast for €5  or a full breakfast for €20. Laundry facilities are available at a cost of €10 per wash and dry. The residence is 10 meters from a service station, 20 meters from the nearest restaurant, 150 meters to the ferry terminal and the bus stop. Opposite the ferry terminal is the shopping district. A Carrefours supermarket is there servicing the town. The railway station is one kilometer away, probably a bit too far to wheel your luggage if you are 80, like me. The season finishes at the end of October and opens again for Christmas and again in April. I highly recommend this residence; the staff looking after you are excellent. Alessia, Elena and Caterina were fabulous. My wife and I loved this place. Away from the noise of the town centre but still very close to everything. Have no hesitation in booking.

This small boutique hotel was excellent in every way. Location very close to ferry and Stresa Centre and easy walking. The Italian breakfast €5 euros first class value. The ground floor suite huge with lovely views and well maintained. The staff were all just wonderful special mention to Elena,Katrina and Alessia who made our stay very memorable. Thank you all.

Superb boutique hotel right on the lake front in Stresa. Staff could not have been more helpful all the time. We had a room overlooking the lake with a lovely terrace. We got very lucky with car parking with an off the road spot only 20m from the hotel. The hotel is minutes away from both the lake ferry and the town centre. If you are going to Stresa this is definitely the place to stay.

We had a lovely week in this very nice hotel with friendly and knowledgeable staff and a beautiful view Our suite (apartment, really!) was on the third floor, so it was lovely sitting on one of our three small balconies eating breakfast or having a glass of wine while enjoying the stunning view over Lago Maggiore! We did not have breakfast from the hotel, as we were staying for a week and thus use of the kitchen area in our apartment was included, so we made our own. However, we did on several occasions enjoy a Limoncello Spritz in the garden outside the bar/dining room on the ground floor, served with snacks. The three women in the reception were all very friendly and spoke excellent English, and they were also very patient and forthcoming when we tried speaking Italian The cleaning personnel also did a very good job. The hotel is very close to the ferry terminal and a 15-minute walk from the train station, so it's very convenient. There are also lots of good restaurants close by. We enjoyed our stay very much and would love to go back some day!

This hotel is hard to find it sits above a row of businesses and a little set back so at street level there is just a small entrance and a lift or stairs to take you to the entrance level. There was usually one member of staff manning reception, serving drinks and breakfast and the three of them interchanged on shifts. Once there were two of them together. They were all very friendly, pleasant and helpful with great language skills and we had the Italian breakfast which was very good and great value set up outside or inside and well presented by the staff. The downstairs reception etc. was very clean. The location is perfect, a short stroll from the ferry terminal and the main centre with many restaurants. We had a large suite overlooking the lake with two front facing balconies and a side one. Bed was comfortable and the bed linen was very clean and we slept well. The biggest problem was the cleanliness of the bathroom. The floor was full of previous occupants’ hairs, the area around the toilet was full of dust and stains including the radiator and the shower wasn’t clean. This was all completely unacceptable to us. There were some other unclean spots including the bedside lamp shades thick with dust, the couch in the lounge was dirty and that seemed to be also a pull out bed. The kitchen which we didn’t use was behind a sliding partition which was dirty. These unclean areas overshadowed what would otherwise have been a very pleasant stay.

As the last stop on a 3 week vacation thru Europe, we could not have stayed at a nicer hotel. This charming gem right across the street from Lake Maggiore was impeccable in every way. Our room, actually a beautiful 3-room suite facing the water was within an arms reach to restaurants, shops and bakeries. The staff that run the hotel, were lovely young women who were as personable as you can get. Caterina, Elena and Alessia were not only helpful, but made certain that we had everything we needed at a moments notice. We had a beautiful living room/kitchen, bathroom and a very spacious bedroom. Step onto the large balcony and there were lounge chairs, tables and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the gorgeous view of Lake Maggiore. We opted for breakfast on our first morning and what we got could have fed 4 people. It was amazing. Perfectly curated and delivered to our room, well we couldn't have asked for a better welcome to this lovely little city. We definitely plan on visiting Stresa again and without a doubt will be staying at this sweet and charming hotel.
