What a relaxing and luxurious haven of a hotel. The perfect laid back start to our Australian road trip and a good place to get to grips with the jet lag. The setting of the hotel is stunning, a little outside of Byron Bay it has a private walkway and entry to the local beach through beautiful rainforest. There are shuttle buses into town available as well as bikes. Monitor lizards rustled under the board walkways that linked all areas of the hotel, and gekkos’ fell from the trees above! Just beautiful. The service was immaculate, the communal areas beautifully clean, light, airy and peaceful with an inside outside living vibe. The pool area was lovely with plenty of shaded seating plus sun loungers and a bar service. The pool satisfyingly deep and cool. Our rooms were clean with good quality bedding and gorgeous pillows. Very handy having a little kitchen set up in the room too. We ate in the onsite restaurant once and thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

We headed down for a weekend away. First off, we had dinner at the restaurant, which was underwhelming—the chimichurri wasn't fresh, and the flatbread was disappointing. The following day, we ordered lunch around the pool. We had fish tacos which were lovely, but nothing says "cheap" like a piece of fish that is only a centimetre wide, and the prawn poke bowl only came with two prawns. Next, we ordered room service and everything came in a paper box—once again, a little disappointing and not very luxurious. Then, we ordered a couple of cocktails on the veranda, which came out not in a Martin glass or looking nothing like the picture but in tall soft drink glass with a straw. Unfortunately, the little things really let this place down. Spending over $2000 on a weekend at a luxury resort, you expect the little things to be right. On the second night we couldn’t wait to leave for dinner to get nice some food and drink.

The hotel just some minutes away from downtown, is qualified in the best 10 resorts from Australia. Beautifull surroundings, our cabane was very large, with living room and terrace, under the Rainforest, surrounded from nature and animals, very quiet and peaceful. Service all over where excellent, attentive and professional. A continued love to detail and décor is all over the venue, large pool, hike and Bicycle opportunities are offered. It is in did a place to stay and enjoy. Restaurant, a la carte Breakfast, and dinner venue are exceptional, good and tasty dishes attentive staff and professional.

Family of 4 - we enjoyed our stay at crystalbrook. We stayed in a rainforest suite - we managed with 1 child on sofa bed and the other slept on the couch. Sofa bed too small for 2 kids regardless of age - and sofa bed is not comfortable - can feel very spring. This needs updating. Room is spacious enough but could do with an update and / or deep clean in bathroom, balconies and shutters / blinds. Very convenient to have little kitchen in room with all amenities. Really liked the shower amenities. Hotel pool is great - beds poolside are really luxurious. Free towels and water poolside are a nice touch!! Lovely area at pool. Car essential to get in and out of Byron and surrounding areas.

Crystalbrook Byron is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places I have ever stayed. Being situated in the rainforest, and walking distance to the beach, it’s truly such a special place. My room was large, clean and quiet. The facilities are fantastic and the service around the pool area was amazing. I loved being able to ride one of the bikes into town, or take the free shuttle bus. All the reception, housekeeping and restaurant staff were so lovely and great, but in particular, Sue, Shelby, Ben and Aya who were so kind, personable, hard-working and really made my stay so enjoyable and memorable. I can’t wait to come back :)

If you’re looking for relaxation this place ticks all the boxes. The pool is divine, the room/showers perfect, there’s tennis court if you fancy a hit or two, and you can do nice forest walk to the beach. Our favourite pastime was just hanging out by the pool with something cold in one hand though

I don’t tend to write reviews when they aren’t positive but having come to Crystalbrook (and Byron@Byron) for many years I know how incredible it can be and so feel I need to provide feedback. For the first time in many years we chose not to stay here but came for a drink on the verandah (because it’s stunning and we have a strong emotional connection and many wonderful memories). It is still absolutely stunning and great to see the recent refurbishment which is beautiful. The service. is. dreadful. It is so below par. Show some interest. Some personality. Please. From reception to wait staff. You seemed so disinterested and like we were an inconvenience. You work and live in paradise. You used to excel with your service and personality. I’m sure there are still some wonderful staff but they are lost by those who don’t seem to care. You didn’t do anything wrong but you didn’t do anything right. I could have been ordering a Big Mac by a 14yo who knows no different. You do.
