Wonderful experience! This hotel is highly recommended if you look for a cosy place in Sulmona. The location is excellent and the hosts are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is also very good, with everything you need to start your day on the right foot. You will love your stay at Stella CasaBono!

Outstanding experience. All staff were friendly and helpful and most spoke excellent English. Rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and well appointed. Breakfast was homemade, fresh and plentiful. They easily accommodated my daughter’s severe multiple food allergies. Perfect central location less than a city block from Piazza Garibaldi and the open air market which was fun and had great deals for gifts. Definitely would stay again and highly recommend. Also download What’sApp for easy communication in English with Roberto one of the two brother who own/run this place.

We had a perfect experience during our two day stay. This family-owned six room hotel is clean, comfortable, modern and convenient to the center of town. The bed, the heat and the breakfast service are all more than adequate. When we asked for a driver to take us to the mountains, one of the brothers offered to take us for a very reasonable price. Recommended without qualification.

The hosts were friendly and the room was spacious and clean. We were served an excellent breakfast, hot food was cooked to order and there were tasty pastries and biscuits. The accommodation is in a great location, just around the corner from the main square(Piazza Garibaldi). We would highly recommend it. Jason and Mary

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of four nights at this small family run hotel . The Bono family take pride in the hotel and it shows. Rooms are cool , calm , quiet and pristine . The breakfast room is bright and welcoming and also serves as a cafe for locals to pop into adding to the character. Brothers Roberto and Giuseppe look after their guests very well , advising on places to visit, parking , bookings at restaurants to enjoy and so on. They even made arrangements for me to watch the European Cup Final in the comfort of a garden in a local pizzeria —— way beyond the call of duty given that Italy were not playing ! Highly recommended .

We went to Sulmona for the wedding of the daughter of close friends. This small hotel is very comfortable and Cosy. They serve an excellent breakfast. The location couldn't be better a minute from the main square and the best Gelato that I've had in Italy. But what really sets this apart is the extraordinary customer service of the Bono family. We left feeling like Giuseppe was an old and dear friend.

The rooms are pristine, beautiful, and well appointed. Excellent location in the center of the old town. Comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was excellent with many choices. The family who owns and runs this hotel are lovely and so attentive and welcoming. The hotel is close to many nice restaurants and the family are happy to recommend. Rooms have Air Conditioning that works very well. The shower is state of the art, water is hot and plentiful. The rooms contain many nice details, such as bed slippers, bottled water, a kettle for tea, etc. Highly recommend, we were here for four nights and loved it!

My husband and I stayed at Stella CasaBono for 2 nights in June 2024. I don’t think we’ve ever been looked after so much anywhere else. The room was excellent - quiet, spacious, with a roomy en-suite that felt nicely separate from the bedroom area. Lovely shower! The bedroom had a fridge, with cold bottles of water on offer. The air conditioning worked well and was easy to control. And nothing was too much trouble for Roberto and Giuseppe. Including arranging a visit to an artisanal cheese maker (Alla Casa Vecchia) in the nearby village of Pacentro - well worth doing! And the location is brilliant - in the heart of the historic centre. I whole-heartedly recommend this super friendly and comfortable albergo. But do bear in mind that - like most historic buildings in Italy - there’s no lift and our room was on the second floor.
