From the moment we walked into the Holman Homestead we felt we were home. The staff greeted us like family. Later we met Daniel in the ice cream parlor working along with his staff. Our accommodations was absolutely beautiful and cozy and immaculate. We can't wait to return one day for more homemade ice cream. Thank you for making our time away from home so special.

Just a lovely, happy, friendly authentic place to stay. The suites are clean and the beds very comfortable. Very close to Confederation Trail for a lovely walk. The ice cream parlor was fun and the ice cream was very, very good. On Saturday evenings during the summer the owner invites local musicians to perform in their lovely garden. Daniel and the staff were kind and eager to help, just a delightful place. We thoroughly recommend staying here.

We stayed in the Sisters Parlor Room for 3 nights, on vacation. Summerside is quite walkable, and Holmans is close to the enjoyable boardwalk. Daniel and Emmeline were gracious hosts. Everything was immaculate, and the space was quite generous. The kitchenette was well appointed. Linens were soft, and the bed was very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the Ceilidh and fire pit in their beautiful gardens, while wrapped in a blanket and eating delicious ice cream. My wife’s fantasy come true, sleeping above an ice cream parlor and waking to the smell of baking waffle cones.

We had a wonderful week-long stay here! The charm and historic elements of the building, combined with comfort and complete amenities of the suite’ made for a truly memorable week! The staff were always friendly, fun and helpful. The added bonus is the ice cream parlor on the main level which is second to none. The location is only a few blocks away from the Confederation Trail that crosses Prince Edward Island. We definitely plan to come back.

Holman has two suites above the ice cream parlor. We stayed in “Sisters”. Lots of space to spread out. Treat yourself to some ice cream downstairs. There’s also no-cost washer and dryer laundry room that’s available in late afternoon and early evening. There’s some noise from the ice cream parlor downstairs and a little from the street, with city buildings across the street and fire station nearby. Holman’s Heritage Suites makes for a nice base location to explore western PEI. FYI. If traveling after August 30, things in Summerside proper close up, leaving only a few dining options and not much else.

Best place to stay on PEI. We had such a good time staying at Holman’s Heritage Suites! The service was prompt, thoughtful and helpful. The accommodations were so spacious, clean and comfortable. The rooms and building were beautiful. The price was so reasonable. Location so convenient to the Charlottetown airport as well as to access to Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. We’ll never forget waking up and walking downstairs to the delicious smell of fresh waffle cones being homemade for their ice cream parlor (the best on PEI!), and just to make sure we don’t forget, we will for sure go and stay there again!

These accommodations were quaint, spacious, clean and comfortable. In addition the homemade ice cream was awesome!! Easy personal access to our suite. We will be returning to enjoy the friendly atmosphere and local hospitality.

My husband and I stayed at the Holman's Heritage Suites along with our daughter and granddaughter for four nights while we explored PEI. We fell in love with the area and were so grateful to come back each night to beautiful rooms and the kind and caring staff. We ate their delicious ice cream at least once each day, and would love to visit PEI and stay there again with another granddaughter. The people are just remarkable and go out of their way to make sure our every need is anticipated. We highly recommend this location and all who work so hard to make every guests stay as delightful and memorable as possible.

We absolutely loved our stay at Holmans Heritage Suite! The suite we stayed in was lovely and was a perfect set up for us and our toddler. Everyone at Holmans was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying there again on our next trip to PEI!
