Consistently praised for friendly, helpful staff and clean, comfortable rooms with a lovely sea view. Guests appreciate the convenient beach location for bar meals and relaxation. Some booked extra nights.

Comfortable beds, lovely location right on the seafront. Rooms have just been decorated could see there was someone in working on rooms doing repairs and new decor. Staff and food lovely. For the price you really cannot grumble for an afforbable get away

Dirty, filthy, great if you can't smell or see. Otherwise don't book here to stay. The lady at the bar was lovely and my understanding is that the pub and hire aren't actually run by the same people. If I was the pub, I'd get rid of the hotel. The pub seemed lovely but we could not stay in that hotel room! Thick, musty air, dirty everywhere: stains on the wall, carpets, window sills, bathroom. And they charge £50 per night, an absolute check! You couldn't even pay me £50 to stay there

What a dive never seen anything like it, cracks in walls, filthy carpets , filthy shower, rubbish in bin from previous people, sports top in bathroom from previous person, kettle doesn't fit under taps, window hanging of frame, walls all marked ,lamp didn't work, dust everywhere, Communal areas / corridors totally run down, Top it off rolled up towels all nice on the bed, talk about trying to make a turd shine ! The only positive is sea view, Unless you are a contractor wanting cheap digs avoid!!

Cheap accommodation but poor quality. Rooms are dated. Cracks in walls, poor paintwork, stained carpets, hairs in bathroom. Requested a lower ground room due to health and got a room 3 flight up. Bar area needs attention. Ripped seats, poor decor. Only good thing about this accommodation is the proximity to the beach area.

Went into the queen vic for a bit dinner after looking at there Facebook page. I must admit the food on pictures looked amazing but that is where it ended. Looking at the menu I opted for a ranch burger with fries looked lush on there page when it came to my table there was a pot of soggy wet pink cabbage half a plate of frozen fries and the burger was like cardboard was only £10.95 but it must of been less than £2 to make safe to say won’t be eating there again

Wow ! ALL hotels should be like this ! What a LOVELY place to stay ! I walked into the bar to register , what a lovely surprise . Old fashioned ( in some boring people’s view) lots of lovely dark wood, rustic tables, nooks and crannies to suit all . I’m old and was a joy to see rather than newer “ clinical “ hotels, I felt at home immediately . Live footy on too. Lindsay and Louise the bar staff were smiling, friendly , helpful and a good laugh. Beer is great price and good 👍 You will note most reviews are now years old with NO criticism of the rooms. Mine was spotless, welcoming, loads of wardrobe space etc . Can’t fault it. I felt so comfy there that within an hour I booked a second night. Previous bad reviews are connected to functions so can’t comment but as an overnight stayer I just can’t fault it. I had lovely sea view too. I don’t often stay in hotels but this is deffo my favourite and will return for sure ! If there was a 10 star rating they would get it. Just go there ! Please make sure to leave a real review of how good this hotel is, it deserves it.

We stayed here for one night in October, the staff were really friendly from the start, the rooms were clean and very comfortable and the views were wonderful. We ate in the bar and all the food was delicious, a great stay and will be back.
