The hotel has a great location – the sea is just a few steps away, which we really appreciated. The beach offers a choice between a quieter area and a livelier one with a bar. The rooms are simple but clean. Cleaning is done daily, which is a plus, but unfortunately, the cleaning staff enters the room as early as 7:30 AM, which disrupts a peaceful sleep. The very low beds were also uncomfortable for me, especially due to problems with my legs. The hotel is quite large, and if your room is on a higher floor, be prepared to walk – there is no elevator. The food is varied, and I especially appreciated the delicious soups served daily and the fresh salads. On the other hand, most of the food was very greasy, and in the evening, fruit was often not replenished, which I found disappointing. I cannot comment on breakfast as I didn’t attend. A major downside is the capacity of the dining area – the number of tables is insufficient for the volume of guests, and the environment is hectic. Additionally, the dining room staff was often unpleasant, and although dinner is officially until 9:00 PM, cleaning starts at 8:30 PM and guests are rushed out. Unfortunately, we both experienced food poisoning during our stay – we left with a fever and digestive issues. Another major issue for us was noise. There is virtually no sound insulation – you can hear everything from the hallways and neighboring rooms. Early morning noise from the cleaning staff chatting loudly and loud music every night until 1:00 AM was extremely exhausting. Not a single quiet night during our stay. Although the hotel meets basic cleanliness standards and the proximity to the sea is a big advantage, due to the noise, discomfort, poor dining atmosphere, and health issues, we do not plan to return to this hotel.

My wife and I recently enjoyed a week-long stay at Nessebar Beach Hotel in late May. Initially, I had some reservations after seeing a few negative reviews and the hotel's three-star rating. However, those concerns quickly vanished upon arrival. While the hotel shows some signs of age, its retro charm enhanced our experience. Check-in was efficient, and our room overlooking the pool was both comfortable and inviting. The bed was excellent, and the blackout blinds ensured restful sleep. The air conditioning functioned well, and the view from our room provided a fantastic vantage point for the daily entertainment shows. The food was plentiful and satisfying, if not gourmet. We particularly appreciated the poolside hotdogs and ice cream, which added to the overall experience. The complimentary local drinks and cocktails from 10 AM to 11 PM significantly enhanced the value of our stay. The hotel’s location is fantastic, situated next to a delightful shopping street and just a short walk from a beautiful beach. With three lovely pools available, there was ample space for relaxation. The enchanting old town of Nessebar is just a 10-minute trip away via public transport, making it easily accessible. Throughout our stay, we found housekeeping to be thorough, and the staff consistently polite and courteous. If I had to mention minor downsides, the Wi-Fi was strong on the balcony but weaker inside our room. Additionally, the music selection, which leaned heavily towards rap and trance, felt somewhat out of place for a family-oriented hotel and was occasionally too loud. Would I return to Nessebar Beach Hotel? Without a doubt! We are already booked to return on September 3rd and are hoping to stay in the same room, number 210, that we enjoyed in May. In summary, our vacation was outstanding, especially from the perspective of someone who frequently travels for business and is accustomed to five-star accommodations. The hotel represents excellent value for money. Bulgaria is a wonderful destination; Nessebar is a charming town, and Nessebar Beach Hotel is the perfect spot to relax and recharge.

For a first time traveling to bulgaria we had the most amazing holiday can't rate the hotel highly enough. Even though we are from the UK the food caters for all, let's just say my children didn't starve. The hotel grounds are spotless, rooms spotless we were overlooking the pool but didn't find the noise too annoying. Daniels family 19th to 30th June

I visited during the last week of the season : It was brilliant, much better than I expected & reviews suggested. This is a 3 star hotel & the price I paid, I thought was great value. The food was excellent, I enjoyed the soups, stews and varied choices. Great breakfast too. The hotel music was also very well chosen. There was an animation team- but no kids the week I visited so very peaceful. There are 2 receptions & 3 specialist restaurants, but the hotel was down sizing for the winter closure. No queuing- Fantastic. The hotel is an old socialist design, but functional. It has a sand dune with sunbeds between pools & beach which is appealing. Short walk to the beach. The room was basic but included shampoo, soaps & creams. The shower was powerfully awesome. The bathroom tiles looked brand new ( super clean). I would definitely recommend for budget travellers. Good location : 5 minute walk to beach, 15 minutes walk to Flower Street ( centre), an hour walk to Old Nessebar Town, 2 hour walk to Sveti Vlas around the coast. About 15 minute walk to main bus station. The hotel was popular with mature Bulgarians & a range of nationalities. Very pleased with my stay. Don't let the negative reviews deter you. Finally, great country mentality. I didn't get harassed, molested or hassled, unlike Morocco, Tunisia or Turkey for example.

Let's start with THE ONLY 2 positives there are, the hotel is next to the beach and the pools look nice (too many kids in them for us, so we swerved using them). IF YOUR ENGLISH DO NOT BOTHER BOOKING THIS HOTEL. Rude and ignorant staff on the receptions. The staff are very poor in giving information out regarding the hotel and how things work during your stay. The cleaners and dining room staff are very unfriendly and never smiled or spoke when spoken to by guests. There were no cleaners in the room throughout our stay, only once to change towels but left thrown on bed. Nothing else was done by the cleaning staff. The bedding was not changed at all during our stay. You have to request a toilet roll from the cleaners if you need it. We were kicked out of room on the day of departure by cleaners before check out time. The bed was on the floor. Drains in shower blocked. Food was very disgusting and cold, my husband developed food poisoning whilst on our holiday and this was the only pkace we ate, drinks in the food hall often ran out or were turned off, poor selection of food not very veggie friendly. The floors are dangerously slippy in dining halls, with no lifts to other floors. Hotel rooms are very dated and very basic. Air-conditioning was not working properly. Early morning cleaners are very noisy hoovering hallways pre breakfast time. Hollow sounding hallways where kids were allowed to play from hotel rooms despite complaining to reception staff, nothing was done about this. Lobby Bar was closed most of the holiday. Only one coffee machine is working throughout the day. The dining hall only served coffee during breakfast time.

Disappointed. Reception and bar staff very nice and helpful. Room good, getting housekeeping was a challenge. Left sign on door which says you want housekeeping done, came back to find fresh towel and a toilet roll. Music too loud and not suitable for all, they should have quieter outside area. Music for generation not present at this hotel. Did ask for music too be turned down a bit, the manager just shook his head no. Food plentiful but only kept warm not hot and caused illness for me. Bread, croissants always first items to run out. If you like drinking, this is the place for you 😂

Where can I start, good bits first, beside the beach, nice sandy area beside the pool some of the staff in the bar pool area and reception were nice. Bad bits, room never cleaned carpets on the floors ready to leave on their own, only 1 lot of clean towels in the week loo roll scarce and as for the dining room it was like a zoo at feeding time, people grabbing food like animals and bagging up food to bring away with them to eat later, we gave up and ate out most days. Definitely not for English speaking people, definitely will never return.

The positives first. Near the beach. Nice pool area. Cold strong drinks. The negatives. They do not cater for people from the UK. The food while looked edible was certainly not. The room was never cleaned was in a week. We had to ask at reception for clean towels and bedding. It's also like being I a time warp back to the 1970s judging by the decor. Also had to go on a scavenger hunt for loo roll. Sun beds are uncomfortable and surrounding area covered in cigarette dumps. Thus hotel caters for Bulgarian. Ukrainian. Moldovan and other nearby nationalities. I can honestly say I have never met so many rude and ignorant people in my life. They would let a door slam in your face. Going for food was a free for all. This was our first time in bulgaria. Safe to say we will not be back.
