Swakopmund Luxury Suites

We arrived early and the receptionists assisted us in getting settled best they could. We got laundry out of the way. Addressed health and money concerns we were struggling with and also got us reservations for dinner on an Easter Sunday! Once in our room they split the beds No complaints of the staff fantastic folks. Rooms were clean modern and very comfortable. Morning breakfast very good. All in all a small boutique establishment that made you feel like family.

We spent 2 nights in Swakopmund & chose to stay at the this hotel because we felt it offered a good balance of price, location & quality. All in all we were very pleased with our stay and felt the hotel met all of these expectations. The rooms are clean, modern, light & airy and the bed one of the most comfortable we slept in during our trip. The bathroom is open to the rest of the room which didn't bother us being a married couple, but for people sharing a room as friends, it is just something to bear in mind. Swakopmund was surprisingly chilly during August being winter especially at night (it reminds us of a British summer lol!), so we were pleased to find that the AC can be used to heat the room as well, which came in handy in the evenings & early mornings. In terms of location, the hotel is great as there is parking outside with security to keep an eye on your car, the lighthouse & museum across the road and you are just a couple of mins walk in the other direction to the shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a great bar next door, one side of the hotel and a lovely Italian restaurant / pizzeria on the other side, so it was a good spot for dining too! The included breakfast was also great with a selection of toasts, fruits, cakes, juices etc as well as the option for cooked eggs, full English etc. The staff were all lovely & very helpful and we would gladly stay again & recommend the place to others!

The suits are very well located, with a large secured parking. Nicely decorated, with good amenities. Very clean. We used cloth-washing services at the very decent price. Next day our clothes were waiting at the reception all clean and ironed. Breakfast was nice, with freshly fired eggs and pancakes. However, there is no restaurant and the reception is open only till 18:00. While leaving for a dinner do not forget the night entrance code! There are many restaurants and bars around.

Beautiful modern suites in the centre of Swakopmund, ideally located for everything. The room was incredible - clean, spacious and really well appointed and equipped, including tea and coffee with rusks. An amazing breakfast with a fantastic range of choices. Extremely comfortable bed. Really helpful staff. Cannot fault it.

The staff, from front office to housekeeping, are great and the room I was assigned was nice and quiet. I echo concerns based on previous reviews regarding the bathrooms, but don’t let that deter you from staying at the SLS, the location is perfect and the people working there make it just that extra bit special (Gabriele’s and Bar Zonder Naam, just next door, add to the entire experience). I highly recommend. PS: I kept forgetting to ask the front desk about DND signs… I didn’t have one in my room and wondered if that was just standard practice? No worries though.
