This hotel has one of the very best locations in Swakopmund and also has a long family history. Great to see that the daughters and third generation owners are now running it. I cant wait to go back. Most pleasant hotel I have stayed in for a long time.

Staying in Hotel Schweizerhaus in Swakopmund was very pleasant. The hotel has a prime location in the city centre and close to the sea.

Lovely place to stay ,close to the beach and other amenities. Breakfast was OK, choice of eggs and buffet also ,the cafe that was by the hotel sold various pastry and cakes and choice of drinks, but I never used the cafe ,room was cleaned well ,but had 2 single beds,as opposed to 1 double, worth a stay if you stay in Swakopmund. And very close to the city centre.

The hotel is in swakopmund city center that you can walk to all tourists spot. The room is correct, WIFI works well. The buffet breakfast is good as well.

The hotel has a good bakery, but is a little bit outdated and noisy. Middle of centre, everything on walking distance.

We stood for 3 nights in Schweizerhaus in Swakopmund. The location is great: very close to the sea but also to the town centre. Rooms are big (ancient house), all with a balcony (as far as we experienced). Staff is very freindly and helped us a lot in suggesting and organising some tours. The breakfast is to be taken in the Café Anton which can be reached directly from the hotel. There, my wife experienced one of the best Apfelstrudel of her life. And being Austrian, this is a statement! Only inconvenience was that the hotel has no heating system, which makes usage of the bathroom in the morning a chilly experience. Additional blankets for the beds compensate it for the night. Definitely to be recommended, if you do not belong to the freezing part of population.

Perfect position, lovely room, great staff and breakfast in Cafe Anton. Night porter was excellent. Sadly freezing cold and damp in August, no heating or extractor in shower. Very dangerous looking wiring in my room. Personally I would not return
