Super 8 by Wyndham Swan River MB

The price is too expensive, especially for a small town like this. Even the Super 8 in Winnipeg is barely over half this cost. Why is it so costly to stay in this town? This is ridiculous. Something should be done about this. The room was nice, nothing special though. It's not like I was in a 5 star hotel.

The rooms are very nice and clean. The pillows were great. More than enough blankets. It's nice having a big elevator. Pop and ice are available to you on the main floor. The only problem was finding an outlet to plug in the devices. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Swan River.

Swan River Super 8 is a very nice place to stay. The location was perfect, the room lovely and clean, we found the staff very friendly and helpful, The breakfast room was very comfortable and lots of choices for a healthy and satisfying breakfast.

Overall happy with the stay. Very clean lots of parking. Only problem was the room furniture (not bed). Very uncomfortable love seat in the middle of the room. No lamps beside it very weak light on ceiling. Not enough to read by. No arm chair. (This was a suite). Jetted tub but no grab bars for entry/exit. Should have comfort height toilet. Fix this and rate 5 stars for the price.

Everything about my experience with this hotel was positive. My stay was not exactly by choice, I was stranded in Swan River by a snow storm, but the staff did everything they could to smooth the rough edges off that. Check in was friendly and efficient, even for someone showing up unannounced on a dark and stormy night. I was so glad they had a place for me, and the price, though not the cheapest, was not too bad once all the relevant discounts had been applied. I think they were kind enough to upgrade me to an executive suite for some reason, which made it a bargain. For my money I got an incredibly clean, very quiet room that smelled and looked very fresh. The furniture looked very new and stylish (nothing stale or rundown here), everything in excellent condition. There were so many little thoughtful touches that pushed this room into the superstar category. The bed was so clean, and so comfortable, totally in the Goldilocks zone, not too hard and not too soft, and so roomy. I fell asleep almost instantly, which is a rarity for me in a strange hotel on the first night. It was so quiet (though you could hear some noise from an adjacent room if you listened hard enough). The building was set so far back from the highway and the window curtains were so solid and fitted together so well that no highway noise or outside light penetrated. The in-room heating system was fantastic, so easy to figure out and quite powerful, able to get things to the temperature you wanted very quickly. Yet it also featured a quiet mode, that allowed you to adjust the room temperature without feeling you were just behind a jet about to take off. There were also chairs to sit on in the room, which must be so handy anyone who has to wait while their partner gets ready. The bathroom was super clean and roomy and stocked with more than the usual amenities (including a shoeshine cloth). My room also featured a chesterfield, two TVs, and an antechamber that could be separated from the bedroom by a sliding door, but I am not sure how standard that feature is. The room was so deep you were isolated from noise and light that might emanate from the main corridor. Lots of well-lit parking and close to the downtown, several restaurants, a convenience store, and major food store only a few minutes away on foot. It also features an ample free continental breakfast, well-stocked with waffles, bagels, toast, fruit, yoghurt, several kinds of cereal and juice and coffee.

The hotel presents well and was very clean, the staff very friendly and accommodating, and good breakfasts all made for a very enjoyable stay. The rodeo decorations were an added plus. The hotel is central and makes travel around the Swan Valley very easy.
