Bella Vista

A little gem with charming hosts that make a special stay extra special. Set above a private beach the property offers comfort with a homely welcoming atmosphere and great views across the bay. The attractions of the main town are about 20 minutes pleasant walk away (along the sea front) and the town itself has retained a classy and somewhat bohemian feel. Definitely a hidden gem worthy of return visits.

This is a superb bead and breakfast with lovely and helping hosts William and Naomi. The sea view scene from the garden and some rooms is just amazing. They kindly moved us to the garden for breakfast and I can say it was one the most memorable breakfasts of my life( apart from the view, the breakfast itself was great!). Totally recommend staying here!

We stayed here for 3 nights in June in room 7. It's a great location as is next to the beach, the Grand Hotel and The Cabin beach bar serving lovely food just below. It's also about 15 mins walk into town so is close enough but far enough away as to be quiet. We could hear the waves crashing and lapping onto the beach at night. We were a family of 3 and whilst the room was big enough, the bathroom (shower room) was tiny. The sink wasn't deep enough to wash in and there wasn't enough towels hooks. The shower hose was easily kinked and would then stop working. We would have preferred better curtains / blinds to stop the light but it didn't wake us in the morning. In the winter, the window with a view to the beach does not close properly and would let in cold air. Breakfast was lovely (especially the homemade bread) as was the service, though my daughter did find a dog's hair in her fried egg on one morning - no big deal. It was nice to have the option of fresh milk in your room for teas & coffees and the fridge downstairs with the cold water (that guests could use for their own things) was very convenient. I used the ice packs. The owners have produced a number of walks and large maps which they leave out in the dining room, along with other useful pieces of information. The garden has lovely views across the beach and sea; we had a drink there when we arrived. It was our wedding anniversary and I had requested a bouquet of flowers and prosecco beforehand and the owners had excelled here, leaving a beautiful bouquet and a delicious bottle of bubbly in the room for our arrival. We would come back.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Bella Vista. We travelled with our 3 month old baby and our dog and were made to feel very welcome by Naomi and William. There was a great selection at breakfast and it was all very tasty. We stayed in Room 2 which was really spacious and had a decent sized on-suite with shower. Both the room and the en-suite were very clean - something I am very particular about, but it met my high standards. Great location and only a short walk into Swanage. We will definitely come and stay here again.

What an amazing B&B and the perfect place to stay when attending a wedding down in Studland. Naomi and William were incredible hosts with a very friendly brown Labrador. They were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. They went above and beyond to sort parking for our two cars as well. We stayed in room 3 (a double bed and a single bed), which was clean and everything we needed for our two night stay. The breakfast was delicious - so much choice. You tick what you want the night before and you can choose so much. On our first morning, I had juice, homemade smoothie, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt and homemade granola, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, and Earl grey tea. It was a glorious feast enjoyed in the garden with a beautiful sea view. My friend and I enjoyed two morning swims at 8am before breakfast. The beach is just a 1 minute walk down a steep path. It was such a gorgeous way to start the day, followed by the best breakfast. I 100% recommend this B&B and will definitely stay there again.

Despite Eunice we had a very nice time. We went for nice walks along the beach and nearby places. The hosts at Bellavista are very welcoming and the breakfast is fantastic either the full English or continental you cannot go wrong. The quality of the ingredients is spot on including the coffee!!
