"I recently stayed at The Capitol Apartments and had a fantastic experience! The location is excellent, just a 5mins walk from the exhibition centre super convenient. The apartment itself is spacious, with a big balcony that offers a lovely view, perfect for enjoying breakfast in the morning.
The 1 bedroom apartment had ample space, with a large bathroom, bedroom, and lounge area. I was impressed by the size of each room, plenty of room to relax and unwind.
The surrounding area is also great, with plenty of restaurants nearby. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay and would definitely recommend The Capitol Apartments to others. Great value for the price!"

"Stayed here overnight, and omg, this place was awesome! It's clean, it has a huge shower with awesome pressure, it's close to South Bank within like 5 minutes walk, it's close to restaurants, public transport is right out side your door, and it has security car parking, I loved this place and have already booked it again for my next convention, just look at how much room you have in that shower, I've never had a shower that big and spacious before."

The hotel is close to all South Bank has to offer. There is also the recently opened Ovello Bar & Kitchen, a light, bright and bubbly Italian style bar & eatery open for a la carte breakfast and dinner. Amenities include a heated pool, spa and gym.
"The hotel is between South Brisbane Station and South Bank Station, and within walking distance to the South Bank Parklands. There are a number of restaurants around but seems mostly for dinner and drinks. Other than that, there are no shopping malls or nearby supermarkets except at South Bank Station and two convenience stores selling mostly snacks. There was no early check-in, and upon check-in the bed was obviously slept in before and a call to guest services brought the housekeeper who kindly changed the bedsheets, blanket and pillow covers. However the body cleanser ran out within the day and was not topped up during the next day's housekeeping and hair was not really cleaned up. Hotel breakfast at the ground floor restaurant is on ordering basis and not buffet style."

"We travelled with two children, after we entered the unit, there was an oily smell. And the carpet was dirty. I used a tissue to wipe it and it had black stains. So I put the carpet aside then cleaned the floor, the wet towel was all black.
Every chair has debris on it and I just told my children not to lay on the floor and not to sit on the chairs.
Moreover, there were stains on cutleries and on the oven. The cleanliness was HORRIBLE.
When we were taking a shower, all the water just went out to all the floor in the bathroom."

"The place smelt bad, the bathrooms and kitchens are very outdated, we had a massive and loud evacuation alarm go off and we we’re told by a staff member to stay in our room but we looked out the balcony and realised everyone had been evacuated apart from us and a fire truck was there. no staff at the office ever. just overall a very weird place with weird vibes. bad parking too"

The apartment was very comfortable, spotless, and the location couldn’t have been better. I’d previously booked a stay here earlier this year for my dad and aunty while they were visiting from Europe, and they also had wonderful things to say. So glad we chose to rebook and enjoy it again with our little family.

The staff are all exceptionally polite and helpful, the room, hallways, lift and restaurant are of a high standard and immaculately clean. On-site parking (when available) is very convenient however it may be cheaper to park elsewhere as there are other options locally. I would highly recommend staying here.

Pros: Central location, spacious, and the kitchen is pretty well equipped. There is also a great gelato just a stone throw away
Cons: limited front desk hours (not a problem unless you arrive outside of office hours). There was aircon leak? outside my door so the corridor had a damp smell (the staff installed a dehumidifier afterwards which helped alot)

GGuest UserWhile the location is good, you do get street noise. The walls are paper thin so you can hear the noise from others. The first night there, we had lots of banging noises from pipes or wires in the wall. Had to ask several times to move rooms before we got to move. If you are travelling from overseas, you will need a power adaptor too. Overall, felt like the place was very over priced and too noisy.

GGuest UserWe are visiting from the UK, this hotel is a very comfortable place to stay while seeing Brisbane. Also plenty of useful amenities if you need to be self sufficient, and grocery shops within five minutes walking. The location is excellent too for walking around to see the main attractions like Wheel of Brisbane. The only minor issue was related to parking however the next day Jade at reception resolved it to our satisfaction. We look forward to staying here again on a second visit.

Some things in the room left a little to be desired - it felt cheap even though it wasn't. Location and facilities were fine though but having no-one to greet you on arrival was something new for me.
