"I highly recommend Sunflower Homestay! The rooms are cozy and clean, and the owners are incredibly kind. I'm grateful to the owner for taking me to see the red-crowned cranes and introducing me to nearby attractions. The owner's wife also cooked a wonderful meal; it truly felt like home. "I rarely give hotels less than three stars, but I have to say this time.
First, the advantages. The location is good and close to the water street, which is one of the reasons why I chose Shuicheng Hotel at that time.
The disadvantages. One star is deducted for the poor air conditioning. Yancheng is now around 10℃ at night. The room is very cold. Adults and children are sneezing and running noses.
One star is deducted for the poor shower. The shower head basically does not produce water. The water pressure of the top spray is very low. When children take a shower, the water is basically cold on their bodies.
Half a star is deducted for the decoration smell in the room and the sound insulation is average.

I greeted me with a smile and reminded me of the best walking route for breakfast time and the park. "Very good hotel, the hotel facilities are very new, the location is first-class, downstairs is the Water Margin Museum and the Salt Capital Museum, next door is the Golden Eagle Commercial Center, eating, drinking and entertainment are all available.
Standing in the room, you can see the Salt Cube TV Tower when you open the window, and you can overlook the night view of Yancheng when you lie down. In the morning, you can see the skyline and the sun shines directly on the bed."

KKaihuadaxiongIn Dafeng Port, it is relatively remote and the price is relatively affordable during the holidays. I booked two standard rooms for three nights. On the first day, I checked in and went to Dafeng Port Zoo; on the second day, I went to Dongtai Tiaozini Scenic Area and Huanghai Forest Park, as well as China Elk Park; on the third day we went to the Red-crowned Crane Scenic Area, in the afternoon we went to Dafeng Educated Youth Memorial Hall, Dafeng Shanghai Farm, and Dafeng District, and shopped at RT-Mart in the city; on the fourth day we checked out and went to Yancheng.

GGuest UserThe room condition was impeccable. However, the hotel's facilities are limited to an all-day dining restaurant and a Chinese restaurant, making it difficult to spend a full day at the hotel. During the winter, the all-day dining restaurant is closed for dinner.
Breakfast was decent. It would be nice to have additional facilities, like a spa or bar, to enjoy the evenings.
However, the staff were seriously lacking in English. Aside from one person at the reception, neither the room service staff who took our orders over the phone nor the staff who came to pick up our laundry knew even basic English. The person who brought our luggage didn't even know our passports!
We checked in without dinner, and it was so late that both of the hotel's two restaurants were closed. Room service only ran until 10 p.m., which was a bit of a hassle.
But the English-speaking receptionist (I think it was Nina) was very kind and helpful, using her own delivery app to have food delivered to our room.

GGuest UserThe hotel service was so-so. The front desk staff were rather inflexible. After staying two nights, my key card stopped working on the second day, so I had to go back to the front desk to get it renewed. The door lock also broke that night, thankfully it was fixed in time, but it was still a bit of a hassle. There weren't many restaurants nearby, so I ate at all three hotel restaurants. I'm not picky, but the food was all pretty good, and the portions were huge – three people couldn't finish four dishes! The hotel pool was only 1.5 meters deep, not suitable for those who aren't good swimmers. The staff recommended renting a swim ring for 20 yuan. The pool wasn't crowded, so the experience was okay. Overall, in terms of service, the Mercure next door was better. Because the food was served late, they even gave my child a complimentary steamed egg. I didn't mind the egg, but it made me feel respected!

GGuest UserThis time I had a great experience staying at Sheyang Qianhe Lake Hotel! The hotel environment is beautiful and pleasant, and the service is even better. I especially want to praise the two staff members Zheng Qingxia and Li Mengzhao at the front desk. They are beautiful and kind, and their service is considerate and thoughtful. Knowing that I want the room to be next to the elderly, they thoughtfully upgraded the room for me and arranged it properly. I must give a good review and I will come again next time!

AAnonymous UserMs. Qian at the front desk was incredibly friendly and gave us a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe twin room. The room itself was exceptionally spacious and fully equipped, featuring a large bathtub that could be filled with hot spring water for a relaxing soak. Welcome fruits were a nice touch. There's also an indoor swimming pool in the building opposite; just remember to bring your own swimwear, goggles, and cap. It's open until 9 PM. Furthermore, the breakfast spread was extensive, offering a wide variety of delicious options, and was served until 9:30 AM.
The only downside was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the large room when we first entered, likely from a previous guest. We had to open the windows and turn on the exhaust fan, and it still took most of the day for the smell to somewhat dissipate. I hope housekeeping can thoroughly ventilate rooms if they detect any smoke, as second-hand smoke is really unpleasant.

GGuest UserThe appearance and decoration of the hotel are very beautiful. The lobby is spacious and bright, with modern and luxurious decoration. I immediately felt a high-end atmosphere which made me look forward to my upcoming stay. The room was very comfortable and spacious. The beds are soft and comfortable and the room is well equipped with TV and free Wi-Fi. The bathroom was also very clean with high quality toiletries and the service was excellent. The staff were very friendly and enthusiastic, and were always ready to help me solve my problems. When checking out, the front office manager specially packed some snacks for us to take with us. They provided a lot of useful suggestions. Overall, I felt very good about the hotel. Very satisfied with this accommodation experience.

1st impressions were good. Even though the staff spoke very limited English they checked me in efficiently (I do speak some Chinese but if you don't it's okay). The rooms are a good size and the big picture windows give great views over the public lake/park. the only downside was the faint aroma of stale cigarette smoke in the room but this is China and unfortunately to be expected.
The downside was the breakfast was very Chinese and though I love the cuisine here I'm not a lover of Chinese breakfast. It would have been better if the cook knew how to make fried eggs in different styles than just solid yokes and they invested in a good coffee machine. The coffee was in a flask....and was white....I didn't even try the bit I poured into a cup. The positive is Wuyue Plaza is a 10 minute stroll and has a Starbucks and MacDonalds!
I had a look at the gym and pool. Gym was 10 yuan, pool was 40. Both looked okay. The hotel grounds needed a bit of a tidy up but were okay. I couldn't find direct access into the lake/park area but then I was only there 2 nights.
The big convenience was Wuyue Plaza. The top floor was restaurants. A decent selection. Towards the back on the outside walking street was a decent little bar (Black Vine). Nice manager, 8 craft beer taps, lots of bottled beer.
Yes, I'd stay here again as it suited my purpose.

JJingjingmeishaonvThis was my third stay at the Yancheng Marriott. My first stay in 2023 was truly excellent, although the room felt a bit stuffy, which I overlooked due to the great service and environment. My second stay was also stuffy, but after I mentioned it, the staff provided a fan, which helped a lot. This third time, the room wasn't stuffy, but the service was genuinely poor:
1. When hailing a taxi at the hotel entrance, some doormen would open the car door, while others wouldn't. While I don't specifically need this service, it made me wonder what the criteria were – perhaps the quality of the guest's car or their status?
2. I provided my room number at the front desk and purchased four breakfast vouchers. However, when I went for breakfast, they said they couldn't find my information and asked me to show proof of payment, which was really unpleasant.
3. I went out to buy some local specialties, and the items were quite heavy. I asked the staff at the entrance for help carrying them, but was refused. When I went inside to the front desk, a female staff member impatiently pointed to a spot on the floor, telling me to just drop them there. Eventually, a male staff member came over, let me place them on a table, and gave me a luggage tag.
Finally, when checking out, I realized I had lost a room card. I told the front desk I was willing to pay for it, but they said it was fine and didn't charge me. For this, I must say, I'm sorry, and thank you again.

GGuest User酒店本身位置不錯，建造也比較豪華。可惜保養不到位。本來退房了，特殊情況需要續住，前台經理很好，幫忙協調了一間房，非常感謝。但是酒店內部的充電停車位都停滿了油車，打電話挪車沒有一個來，向酒店求助，居然説停車位不是他們的，不歸他們管。停車位就在酒店的大門口，很顯然是酒店停車位，居然酒店説不歸他們管，酒店就沒有自己的停車位。所以沒有權利去管。我覺得太不可思議了，一個五星級酒店，沒有一個車位是酒店自己的？酒店説我們從來沒有掛牌五星酒店，從來沒有掛牌。但是在攜程酒店設施上酒店是五星級酒店，有充電樁，有停車位。這難道是虛假宣傳嗎？
