Chef Jeff Blank of Hudson's on the Bend Restaurant's beautiful rustic Santa Fe style home with a stunning view of Lake Travis. Enjoy the lake view while lounging around the pool. The covered patio bar is well furnished for comfortable lollygagging and there is a bathroom and shower in the pool/bar area for your convenience. This house was built for a chef by a chef with well stocked indoor and outdoor kitchens. Dinner with no dirty pots and pans, grill your steaks and veggies on the outdoor grill. Or you can make use of the indoor range if indoor cooking is more your style. You have the choice to dine inside or outside as there are tables in both locations. The entirety of the house facing the lakeside is floor to ceiling windows so you won't miss any sunsets. Sleeping accommodations are for 8 people. The master bedroom has a king sized bed. It has it's own private toilet and shower/tub room. The family room has a sleeper sofa with a comfortable queen sized bed. This room also has a half bath. The guest house has a queen sized bed in the bedroom and a sitting room with a queen sized sleeper sofa. The guest house rooms are separated by a full bathroom and can be closed off for privacy. There are many common sitting areas for together time.This is a gated property on 2 acres abundant with wildlife i.e. grey fox, armadillos, deer, skunk, raccoons, possums, owls, turkey, tortoises and croaking bullfrogs in the ponds. The property is a compound of houses. Jeff and Sara, the owners, live in a house set apart from the rental property. Sara's brother, Gordon lives in a Tiny Home in this same area. Rest assured the property is yours and we will not be underfoot. However, we will be accessible for any questions or needs. This is a unique and visually stunning property for a family vacation. The interior of the home is warm with the fine furnishings, wood and stone touches, and provides a very comfortable setting while you stay indoors. However, with two great outdoor spaces, both the swimming pool/spa/outdoor living area that is in front of the home, and the beautiful backyard with huge shade trees and expansive views of Lake Travis, you might not want to spend much time inside. You’ll love 360 degree views of Hill Country and Lake Travis, towering oaks, high end décor, and close proximity to Austin. This home is directly on the lake, and although it does not have a boat dock, there are boats available for tours next door (Austin' Boat Tours) and boat ramp available not far for public access. There's also limos and shuttles available upon request (ATX Party Bus and Aria Limos). Upon arrival, you’ll drive through the ornate gate, up to the home, and to the main entrance. An elevator will whisk you up to the top floor. The impressive open floor plan offers an expansive living area, dining area, and kitchen on the top floor. The opulent living area features ultra-high ceilings and an abundance of windows, which flood the space with natural light. The dining area sits between the main living room and the kitchen. The high-top table seats four and the kitchen bar seats several more. The gourmet kitchen has top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances; including a Viking six burner range, Sub-Zero refrigerator, and two dishwashers. The black granite countertops are remarkable. The second living area is huge! It features a full wet bar, wine fridge, counter seating for four and a high-top table for four on the deck. The living room has a plush leather couch, a flat screen TV, arresting artwork, and another great view. The master bedroom has a king size bed, chic décor, and access to a private balcony. The master bathroom has a marble walk-in multiple head shower with glass bricks. The second guest room also has a king size bed, high-end décor, and great views. The other four guest rooms have queen beds and, like all the rooms in the house, amazing views of the Hill Country and Lake Travis. All bedrooms have sliding door balcony access. There are four more full baths and a half bath on the main floor. Multiple fireplaces and flat screen televisions in every room provide comfortable interior spaces or head out to the expansive waterfront outdoor living areas for a taste of the exterior amenities. The pool itself is huge and surrounded by oaks and palms, and the landscape lighting is phenomenal! There’s a large outdoor sectional sofa next to the pool along with a soothing hot tub. The view is impressive! There are two balconies overlooking the pool and lake, all of which have comfortable seating and access from the bedrooms and living areas.
