Very comfortable, very clean. Loved watching the lights on the Harbour bridge from our balcony. Room service prompt and the coffee was good. All staff very helpful. Thanks for a memorable stay.

Great location for a English style traditional hotel. Loved the decor, although a little bit of touch up paint to some of the furniture would help it look a little more loved (little cost). Beautiful bathrooms and spacious rooms. I was a little surprized that we werent helped with our luggage to the rooms, as we are in our 70's. Not a big problem, just a little extra touch would have been nice. We didnt have breakfast, however the tea coffee and hot chocolate etc in the room was lovely, well thought out. We would love to visit again here, as the location was perfect, walking distance to the city and the circular quay. We went on cruise, so a very short walk to ship. We stayed 2 days prior to cruise and 1 night at the end.
We felt the hotel was a real treat and felt Very Royal !!

We had a great time at Sir Stamford with two young kids. Superb location and service. Can't wait to go back here again.

Great location and nice large rooms.
General decor a little bit tired , stained carpets etc.
Breakfast had a good selection but hot items were cold / lukewarm.

Unique Beautiful Heritage building Superior classic interior design...somewhat tired shower water pressure but had superior stay..quiet,safe,great location to waterfront...would definately recommend and return..before it's converted to apartments!

The hotel is very convenient located near the opera house. The service is great and the rooms are quite large. It is a luxury hotel but the furniture is a little dated the hotel could use a make-over, though the rooms were clean.
Breakfast was disappointing for the price, every day the same and just not what I would expect for the price paid.
