Hotel Platan

This hotel is disconcerting: one thinks of a family-type hotel, but in reality it is a kind of motel, a temporary hotel; it is more or less under construction, and if everything is very clean, everything is also very impersonal. I find it hard to believe that the room was the 20 square meters advertised, but I'm sure the air conditioning, promised when booking, was not there. Squeaky bed, leaky toilet, rather unstable internet, lack of convenient power outlets for electronic devices: you quickly realize that there are many weak points. No breakfast buffet, because not enough people, but a limited choice, with stale industrial bread. The rates are excessive: the room is displayed at 80 euros at the reception, with the online reservation it is obtained at 68; it is far from being worth so much, even with the car park and the town an 800-metre walk away. Nothing to say about the staff, except that they do what they are asked to do: it would be a good thing if the management did not hide behind their staff. We ask for payment in advance, and we ask that we hand over the key each time we leave: a lack of trust in the customer which reflects a lack of commercial sense.
