Salsomaggiore Terme is a lovely traditional Italian family resort. Hotel Roma was perfectly located and had everything you need for an overnight stay. We enjoyed our stay. Clean room and an extensive choice for breakfast. Absolutely no complaints. Great value.

Good hotel in a great location. Just need to keep going with upgrades and a few tweaks. The balconies need attention and anything broken fixed. The shower needs thinking about as very slippy. The air con was too loud to sleep with. However, the staff were lovely and helpful, the reception area was bright and cheerful, the breakfast was very good and overall the hotel was very clean.

This hotel has great value. You get treated really well, rooms are more than right for the price and food is terrific! It is no more than 5 blocks from the center. Mine particular room had a balcony, which is welcome!

The staff are extremely friendly and the rooms are what you'd expect, but the kitchen is extraordinary. In full board, you'd expect one specialty and, if you don't like that, an alternative of spaghetti. Not so at the hotel Roma. Quite often, there are three choices and all three are special and extremely tasty.

The entire trip, from the time we checked in to the time we checked out, was a very enjoyable and pleasant stay. Staff was very helpful, friendly and polite. The breakfast was super. The rooms were clean, comfortable and the small refrigerator was very handy to have.

The hotel is set off the main road, so nice and quiet. ( up a slight slope, but you need the cerise, right?) About 5 minutes walk from the town centre. The rooms are good, the breakfast is great and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

In the room there was a musty smell, the mirror at the entrance was cracked, summary cleaning, especially the floors, the bed cushions were impossible to use... old swollen ones... The breakfast was good... At dinner... only the plate of edible raw ham ... Not to mention the windows of the structure not cleaned for some time or the carpet in the corridors... dirty

Clean hotel, with honest prices and a decent breakfast, for which I especially appreciated the fact that the coffee or cappuccino is from the bar and not from the horrible self-service machines. Unfortunately, however, the structure is decidedly dated and deserves a major renovation. Chipped doors, exposed sockets, rusty handles give a general air of dilapidation. In particular, my daughters' room had a broken roller shutter that didn't close completely, not even the very courteous hotel staff could do it. In short, three stars are a bit too many for a hotel of this kind which has certainly seen better days
