This hotel has 5 stars on Trip.com indicating it is a 5-star hotel but it is at best a 3-star hotel as it has no swimming pool or other recreational facilities. Its deco is outdated. It doesn't even have a proper lobby for cars to drop off passengers. The facilities and rooms are very dated. It doesn't even provide hand soap! The room is quite clean but there is lack of electrical sockets. The positive thing about this hotel is the location is quite central and rooms are quite spacious.

Great location with great price. Rooms are a little small though. Room for improvement in terms of room cleanliness. No amenities provided, either bring your own or pay for toothbrush.

The location is excellent, right next to the art gallery and cultural center. However, check-in is strictly at 4 PM – not a minute earlier – and check-out is at 12 PM. I arrived at 3 PM and asked if I could check in early, but was told the room wasn't ready. This felt quite unconvincing, especially since the place seemed practically empty. Other than that, everything else was fine.

This is very much a business travel hotel, perhaps a bit too business-oriented... so I didn't quite like it. In terms of service, I felt it fell a bit short compared to other hotels. It was as if the staff didn't see me at all; there was no proactive service. However, they were enthusiastic with other guests, and that disparity made me uncomfortable. Hygene: No issues. Facilities: The in-room facilities were quite comprehensive, and it even came with a TV. Environment: It's a business hotel, located in a newer, rather tidy and clean district of Taichung. There are many BBQ restaurants nearby (Taichung's BBQ is famous), so remember to book in advance.

Stayed 2 nights at the hotel. Staff was responsive to arrange change of room the next day when we raised safety concern of the fire escape steel bar right at the bed. Room was cramped, it’d be better to have more space in the room rather than a bathtub. Cafe operations was also rigid, very short windows for breakfast, most hotels are providing breakfast until 10am but not this one.

Very clean and awesome services provided. The hotel even provided the free parking at the basement. Stayed 6 days and they provide the different breakfasts everyday with plenty of selections available. Highly recommended.

We booked the cheapest room type, so the room looked a bit strange. The bathroom was transparent and the toilet could be seen directly from the room. It would be a bit awkward if you were to stay with ordinary friends. It is very convenient to have a room downstairs, and you can get a discount for dining with your room card.

The overall design is simple. Although there are not many breakfast items, the taste is very good. The service staff is very friendly and attentive. The soundproofing equipment is also good. I slept well at night.

Had a great stay at Hotel Si! The showers had constant hot water with strong pressure, and they even provided travel adapters. The water dispensers on every floor were clean and convenient. The lobby was spacious, open, and beautifully decorated with plenty of plants. However, an important thing to note—our room had a balcony, and the toilet was located outside on it. This can be inconvenient, especially at night or in winter when you have to take a few chilly steps back to the bedroom after a shower. The Sealy bed was super comfortable, but the blanket wasn’t the best. The duvet cover kept shifting due to loose ties, which left empty spaces inside. The TV was large and had YouTube and Netflix, but it was quite laggy—maybe Haier isn’t the best brand for TVs. On the plus side, the location is fantastic! There’s a great massage parlour and a live band bar nearby. That said, the strict 4 PM check-in policy can lead to long queues, and parking is limited to just five spots outside, though alternatives are available. One small suggestion—the hotel might want to consider rebranding as ”Hotel Xi” instead of ”Hotel Si,” as ”Si” means ”die” in Mandarin, which is a cultural taboo for Chinese guests. Overall, it’s a decent option if the price is right. The separate toilet setup was a huge downside for me, but the convenience of the location makes up for it. Would consider staying again!

The room was clean, the shower was comfortable, and I felt very safe. The lobby wasn't large, but the breakfast was decent. I booked a room with a double bed, but thankfully the receptionist immediately upgraded me to a room with two king-size beds. Parking was convenient on weekdays, but on weekends it was first-come, first-served.
