Nice hostel, good location. It was a bit inconvenient for me that they closed the common area until 8 am, as I planned to use it before check out. Also the bed lining is questionable, as you only receive sheets and not a proper cover. I assume the blankets and pillows don’t get washed after every guest. I found that quite unhygienic.

Good hotel. It's ”near” to the Taichung train station but that's about a half hour walk. There are lots of different buses which go right past though (there's a bus stop directly outside the hotel).

For hotels near the business district, this one is cheap. The overall atmosphere is good. There are windows. Hot water and microwaves are provided on each floor. The shampoo and shower gel are also fragrant. However, there are still a few areas that need improvement:
First, after I made the sheets, there were a lot of hairs floating around the whole area, and there was a very small dead bug. I don’t have nasal allergies, but I still felt very uncomfortable. If you have nasal allergies, you should pay attention to it.
(The attached picture shows the hairs floating down while my mobile power bank was charging at the bedside)
Second, I don’t know if it’s just my room that has problems, or I don’t know how to use it. My door lock will not lock automatically. After going to the night market, I can open the door directly without a room card.
Third, the towel will shed hair. After taking a shower, there are a lot of white hairs after wiping with the towel provided by the hotel.
Fourth, the sound insulation of the room is indeed very poor as mentioned in the previous message. People with light sleep can ask if they can stay at the innermost position of the corridor.
But overall, it’s good. The front desk staff is very friendly, and you can also enjoy the luggage temporary storage service on the day of check-out. Just take it back before 8 o’clock on the same day. If you don’t have a big budget, you can try this one.

First of all, the staff were friendly and helpful to introduce and explain the rules to me, this is one of the things I like so much. The lobby resting/meeting area was clean and tidy, which very nice for us to hang out and chit chat over there. There is also a living room with television, piano and dining table outside of the rooms as well, which I think is very nice. The room is clean, neat, not to mention the bathroom and toilet are clean as well. Overall it is good, very cheap price for a bunk bed, my staying experience was good.
I will recommend it to my friend who is visiting Taichung for a short Trip.

On the day of check-out, there was no staff at the counter. I called other stores to inquire. The reply was that just put the card at the counter, but the point is that we need to store our luggage, go out to eat something and then come back to the airport.
Ask if you can put your luggage back in the room, pick it up when you come back and put the room card on the table. The reply was that it would count as our overtime check-out... I was completely speechless.
Finally, I waited 10 minutes for them to send staff over. I checked my luggage and went out to eat. When I came back, no one was there, and no one was looking after my luggage. So I didn't have to wait for your employee to come back.
The last experience was really baffling

Although it is a small room, the comfort is good, and the air conditioning is very cool. The shower gel and shampoo are very popular with those who go up the mountain to collect herbs. There is also a bidet toilet. I will stay here again next time I have the chance.

The biggest advantage: there is parking space at a favorable price.
Basic pros: beds were clean and towels were ok.
Although the building is old, everything is ok.
There is no breakfast but bread is provided as a simple breakfast.
It's really great value.
The only downside is the shower, so I only give it one star.
The hot water will be super hot and the water volume and temperature are difficult to control.
The shower head is terrible. By terrible I mean that it is unstable when hung on the wall, the angle cannot be adjusted, and the water sprayed out is very unpleasant.
The shower head was leaking a lot and almost fell off.
Please: Buy a new shower head + adjustable angle bracket from Shopee for just over 100 yuan, and just remove the shower head. It will be five stars when you are done, so hurry up!

The service attitude is friendly. The name of the hotel before renovation or name change is printed on the towels in the room. You cannot choose a fixed location around the hotel for parking spaces. First come first wins, but if you leave and are stopped by others, you will have to find another place. Parking at a location (although there must be a parking space if you pay), the parking fee is 300 yuan a day even on holidays. Some locations are more difficult to park. If you park at the entrance of the hotel or in the side passage (not a parking lot), you need to hand it over to the counter car. Key, there is a well-known Meat and Egg Toast near the hotel. It is a hotel with a decent location. The room is a bit simple and the water pressure in the bathroom is great, but the whole thing is a bit old. If you just have a night's rest, it will be a little better. accept.

It's cheap, but the gap is really big.
One bed sleeps two people
I sleep in it and I can't get out if I need to use the bathroom at night.
If you are not careful, you will fall off the bed and fall to the ground.
Secondly, there is no parking space
It's far to stop
Next, there is one very, very unsafe thing
The door is actually locked with a horn and a key
And if you tap the lock core of the horn lock from the outside, you can knock the inner lock open.
I originally wanted to use a chair to block it inside for safety.
Unexpectedly, the door opened to the outside but not to the inside.
Therefore, as long as an outsider taps the lock core from the outside and pulls it open,
You can enter the room openly
I barely slept all night
I escaped from this hotel at around 6 o'clock in the morning.
Because of this, I still have a quarrel with my wife during the Chinese New Year.
It's really not worth the gain...

You can see that the hotel has been renovated. It has complete facilities and an elevator, which is very convenient. There are also parking spaces (first come first served, no reservations). If you can't find a parking space, you can go to a nearby parking lot 🅿️. There is a 24H room for $220. You need to bring your own hundred-dollar bills. Pillowcases and sheets are cheaper. There is a shopping district nearby, which is very nice and has many breakfast shops. It's not bad 👍I'll come again next time I have a chance!

Good
EEliya ItouQuite a solid hotel. Generally clean, a little minor grime here and there but not dirt where it mattered (shower floor, bedding, toilet)
Location is surrounded by great food. For lazy travellers that just want to relax in a hotel room, and then pop out for food, this is perfect.
If you want to travel anywhere, I recommend taking a taxi. In the summer, its quite a torture to walk the full kilometer to the nearest train station, and buses in Taiwan are not frequent.
There is a laundromat in the hotel, and one immediately opposite the hotel.
All in all pretty good experience. Staff are helpful and ate present 24/7.

AAnonymous UserThis is my 2nd time staying with Olah and 2nd time experiencing issues with their WiFi. On both occasions the in-room WiFi either did not work or was extremely slow. For a hotel supposedly built in 2024 certain parts of the room looked old (tap was wobbly?). Service was excellent though. Free instant noodles at night but breakfast was rather mediocre.

GGuest UserThe whole environment is very clean and tidy, and the cost is reasonable. Unfortunately, there is no parking lot or special parking lot. Once you park overnight, the cost is very high.

AAnonymous UserThe company's customary business accommodation arrangement
I have stayed here several times and there is no special reason to share!
There is an Italian restaurant downstairs that is quite good!
In addition, it is very close to Yizhong Street and you can go shopping when you have time!

YYI JINGThe room has good lighting and is bright even during the day without turning on the lights.
There is a 711 opposite the business hotel and a Family Mart next to it, which is very convenient.
The lobby reception staff were very friendly.
The room was very clean, the only downside was that there was some mildew on the shower curtain, but there was enough space when taking a shower so it didn't touch the shower curtain, so it was okay.
The soundproofing is a bit poor. In addition to the sounds from the main road, you can also hear the door opening next door.
The breakfast is rich and delicious, and the massage chair in the leisure room is great!
I will still choose here next time I come to Taichung! 😊

AAnonymous UserLocation is co-located with an unknown building which served different hotel on a different floor. Entrance can be seen by its big signage on the building. Room was spacious. No daily housekeeping (probably due to the unforeseen tornado). Self check-in and no staff was around. Needed to use personal phone to contact if needed, however the room has a phone once checked in. Loved the cosy vibes and communal area where you can get free drinks and snacks. All areas are only accessible using your room key card which makes it secured.
No laundry service or washing machine in the hotel but there is a self-serve laundry place at the entrance.

HHuynh TraMy stay at Forbest Hotel was enjoyable overall. The location was excellent, with easy access to attractions and transportation. The staff were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The room was spacious and well-furnished, providing great comfort during my stay. The food at the restaurant was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. However, the cleanliness of the room could have been better, as it didn’t meet my expectations.
