I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Tango Xinyi. The rooms were modern, clean, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful throughout my visit. The hotel's central location made it easy to explore nearby attractions, and the surrounding area offered great dining and shopping options. I highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers!

Good side for the stay :
✅The room is spacious
✅Clean and tidy even is not a new hotel
✅Electric bidet and bathtub is great
✅Many hanger in the wardrobe for you to use
Bad sides for the stay :
❌The hair dryer is not really good to use
❌No make up table or mirror
❌No full length mirror (dressing mirror)
Overall the rating and the price for the stay is just normal for me and did not really meet my expectation
Miramar Ferris Wheel | 2.94km from Raohe St. Night Market
Just Palace, with its exquisite design, invites travelers to step into a corridor of infinite imagination, inspired by "Alice in Wonderland" and "The Travels of Marco Polo." Combining European light classical and modern fashion visual styles, we pursue various tastes in an elegant lifestyle. In this boundless dreamland, we offer services that exceed both "value" and "quality"!
The guest rooms feature two different themed murals above the beds. One mural showcases a whale gracefully swimming in the vast, free ocean, embodying the concept of limitless imagination during travel. The other mural, inspired by medieval artwork, presents the picturesque scenery of a European estate. Staying at the Triumph Hotel is like embarking on a journey of exploration, just like Marco Polo. It stands as the most beautiful boutique business hotel under the Caesar Hotels chain!

Very spacious room & windows can be opened, meaning that ventilation is excellent.
Breakfast is mainly local style, with lots of veggie that I like.
Metro is 10-15 min away. Nearest shopping district is Miramar & 3-4 metro stations away.
If you are looking for quiet local experience, this is a very good choice. Relatively new but away from major scenic spots. More convenient if you choose to take local buses.
We like its deco & also very clean bathroom. Housekeeping is excellent overall.
Highly recommended & will visit again. ☺️

Grand Hotel Taipei – A Stay with a View & Secrets Beneath
Staying at Grand Hotel Taipei is more than just luxury—it’s an experience. The grand architecture, stunning city views, and peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect retreat. But the real surprise? A hidden tunnel beneath the hotel, originally built as an escape route for Chiang Kai-shek.
For a small fee, you can explore this secret passage, adding a touch of mystery to your stay. Combine that with sunrise views of Taipei 101 from the balcony, and it’s a stay worth remembering.

Water Meworld is located in the urban core area opposite the Taipei Railway Station. It is an important transportation hub connecting the high-speed rail, Taiwan Railway, MRT, bus, and passenger railways. It has an excellent geographical advantage.

Overall a decent stay for a first time visit to Taipei. The highlight was the central location, otherwise nothing particularly special. Luggage storage and the one friendly woman with glasses that helped with our luggage was great.
Unfortunately, the shower was quite filled with mold all around; carpets were not the cleanest; and the TV remote/functionality simply never worked. Like others noted, elevator system is very time-consuming as the hotel is located on the 7th/8th floors of a larger building, but you get used to it and not a big deal. Bed & pillows were neutral and decent enough to sleep. Fridge was nice, and Family Mart right downstairs!
Pretty basic but did the job - able to easily traverse the city from main station and surrounding!

Our family was very happy with the family room we booked. It was very clean and the housekeeping does a good job everyday when they make the room. The staff are very professional. Even the staff at the breakfast was courteous and efficient. I will definitely recommend this place for our families and friends. If you want a Japanese feeling hotel, this is the hotel for you!
Ximending Commercial Area | 6.93km from Raohe St. Night Market
Hotel Midtown Richardson Taipei is located on Xiushan Street (across from Zhongshan Hall) in the heart of Ximending and is conveniently located next to the MRT station. The hotel is located in the heart of Ximending, on Xiushan Street (opposite Zhongshan Hall), near the MRT station, and is known as the "Harajuku" of Taipei, with a mix of fashion and nostalgia. The hotel is surrounded by a variety of trendy stores, including the old Wannian Commercial Building, Shizilin Plaza, and even the later Wan Guo Department Store and Eslite 116, Movie Street, and Wuchang Eslite. At the same time, the Ximen business district is also a gathering place for gourmet food, such as Ah Chung Noodles, Taoyuan Street Beef Noodles, Cheng Du Yang Tao Ice, Tian Tian Lu Marinated Meat, Duck Pian and Duck Noodles, etc., all of which are popular among gourmets. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, equipped with large LCD TV, cable TV, cable and wireless broadband, small refrigerator, and safe deposit box. The perfect facilities and comfortable environment will add more convenience and excitement to your trip to Taipei.
TThe Hotelier2025.03.02
I recently stayed at Hotel Midtown Richardson in Taipei and found it to be an excellent choice for travelers seeking convenience and modern comfort. Located steps away from Ximen MRT Station (Exit 4), the hotel places you in the bustling Ximending district, surrounded by shopping, street food, and cultural landmarks like the Red House Theater. This prime location made exploring Taipei effortless, with direct MRT access to major attractions such as Taipei 101 and Ningxia Night Market.
The room I booked was a Deluxe Twin, which was spacious and well-equipped with amenities like a fridge, flat-screen TV, and free tea/coffee. The minimalist, ”industrial-chic” design gave the space a clean, modern feel. The bathroom impressed me with its automatic松下 (Panasonic) bidet toilet, though the shower’s poor water containment was a minor inconvenience. Housekeeping maintained high standards, with timely room cleaning.
Service was efficient overall. The self-check-in kiosks streamlined arrival, and the 24-hour front desk provided helpful travel advice. While the hotel lacks elevators for upper-floor rooms, staff assisted with luggage. The free lobby coffee/tea station was a nice touch, though breakfast (available at an extra cost) offered a decent variety, including fresh fruits and local dishes.
Two drawbacks stood out: soundproofing could be improved, as hallway noise was occasionally audible, and the shower’s design led to water splashing. However, these were outweighed by the hotel’s strengths. For budget-conscious travelers, its value-for-money pricing and perks like free luggage storage make it ideal for extended shopping sprees in Ximending.
Final Verdict: Hotel Midtown Richardson excels in location and functionality. While not luxurious, it delivers a reliable, clean, and strategically located base for exploring Taipei. Highly recommended for first-time visitors and shopaholics!

At checkin, room was smelling of rotten milk, and it was very cold (18 Celsius). I asked the front desk to change room, they said no, they don’t have any rooms available (there are maybe 100 rooms on my floor alone…) When I told them it’s too cold, they said I should turn off the AC. I said it’s off, they said it must not be, they “advise” me to check again. I checked 3 times, turned it on and off. The front then said they will give me an extra blanket… not once did anyone come to the room to check the smell or AC themselves. Also, they don’t have heating at all, so I had to warm the room with my body temperature only… ***.
At night the pipes make noises, and the smell never went away. They also charge to store your luggage.
Very disappointed by the hotel cleanliness and service. It was so unaccommodating. They told me it’s a basement room, so the smell is normal. ***…
Room has mirrors in the ceiling. I think it’s love hotel.

Good location, walkable to the XMD shopping area but is far to the Ximen MRT.
Only if your room is located on higher floor then maybe you can face the Riverview otherwise it can be facing on to the road or next door building.
Breakfast is decent and I like the porridge the most especially the condiments with sweet meat and chicken floss. However the staff are too attentive to close everything at 10am therefore please come earlier. I'm not sure why is the staffs rushing to clear the buffet.
Front Office service is generally good especially the lady with shorter hair, golden hair highlights and wearing spectacle.
Yes, I can come back to stay in this hotel next time.

Outstanding
EEricaDear Doubletree by Hilton Taipei,
I would like to offer my compliments to your dedicated team for our very enjoyable stay in your hotel from 3-7 June 2024.
We stayed in rooms 1203 and 1205 and the reservation was made under Ms Erica Tan.
I had stayed in some 5 star hotels such as Shang Ri La Singapore, Westin Singapore, Ritz Carlton Singapore, Kempinski Xiamen to name a few but my stay in Doubletree by Hilton Taipei was one of the most comfortable and pleasant.
The check in by the warm and friendly reception staff was efficient and smooth.
When my daughter accidentally dropped one of the delicious welcome Hilton cookies on the floor, the reception staff quickly replaced it with a warm smile.
When my daughter teared after knowing that there isn’t a swimming pool in the premise, your reception staff, Tina, immediately walked up to us with a map and suggested that we can go to a nearby swimming pool facilities.
Tina also gave us some excellent food suggestions. We had a very satisfying and affordable meal at the Michelin recommended Ji Jia Zhuan ( 鸡家庄), thanks to her recommendation :)
Whenever we return to the hotel from a day of sightseeing, the reception team on duty never failed to greet us in a warm and friendly manner. We felt genuinely welcomed:)
The modern Japandi style rooms and bathrooms are kept in an excellent condition and feel brand new. We especially like how bright, airy and spacious the rooms are.
Kudos to the housekeepers ( Ms Cai Xiu Hui 蔡秀慧阿姨) on level 12 who kept our rooms 1203 and 1205 so clean and comfortable. They always chat amicably with us and confirmed with us if we need any housekeeping service.
The TV entertainment system with its 47 channels ( including TLC, Discovery) , Netflix, YouTube and IQiYi really impressed us.
The semi buffet style daily breakfast sets
( Chinese, Japanese and Western) are healthy and delish and we really looked forward to breakfast every morning.
We hope that Chinese baos (包子)and dim sum pastry such as you tiao ( 油条、蛋饼)can also be offered in future when we next pay a visit to your hotel :)
We would also like to thank your reception staff and housekeepers who helped my mom who stayed in room 1205 on 6 June when the toilet encountered some flushing issues.
My mom had approached the reception staff at around 4 pm on 6 June and the very helpful male reception staff accompanied her to her room and helped remediate the problem along with the housekeeper. She was very impressed by how efficient and friendly your staff were.
All in all, your team has done a great job in our stay. Their service attitude are genuine and warm :) My daughter enjoyed her stay so
much that she kept remarking she would like to extend our stay to 2 more weeks:)
We hope you will pass on the compliments to your team and the staff we named, as a gesture of our appreciation.
MMby33Room is clean and spacious enough for 2 28-inch luggages to be left open with sufficient room to walk. Housecleaning is prompt and efficient! Counter stuff is always smiling and ready to help. Great location too! Yummy breakfast! Surely coming back!
CChung ChinEverything is pretty good. If you drive there, need to be sensed about the every time out of the hotel, because hotel will wave the total parking fee but need to drive out the parking lot in 15 minutes. The parking elevator is different location. If hotel could have 30 minutes for guests to exit the parking area, it will be great.
CChristinelcmThe room is clean and comfy, and the space is enough for a solo traveller. The highlight is definitely the huge window next to the bed and the city view is amazing. Also, I really like the “morning call” service with the TV. It wakes you up with some calming music.
The drinks in the bar are also very nice, the food and snacks are a little overpriced but it's acceptable as it's in the hotel.
But the ipad for controlling room facilitie, e.g.TV, lighting, are not working very well, they respond quite slow. Also, it always disconnects my spotify.
GGuest UserThe same excellent service and hospitality as the first time I was here in the late 80s when it was still the iconic Lai Lai Sheraton. Thank you for going the extra mile to make my wife’s birthday memorable with the extra arrangements. Special mention goes to Ellen and the front desk team for taking great care of us.
TTrebasThe location is really superb with Taipei Main Station, many restaurants, malls and shops just within 3 mins walking distance radius. Use the Z2 exit which has lift facility at the main station. Then simply cross the road & walk towards the Macdonalds sign. Use the entrance (side road) beside Macdonalds restaurant. It took us under 5 mins to reach the inn on the 5th floor once we exited the station.
We read about the complaints of long wait for the lifts but found that not to be an issue during our 4 nights stay there. Yes, there are at least another 2 inns located within the same building.
As we travelled with other 2 family members, the availability of use of the lounge facilities that provided free flow of hot tea / coffee & comfortable seats & chairs, microwave oven & oven was great for simple snacks / supper together.
Other amenities like 2 bottles of mineral water, bedroom slippers, shampoo, hand soap, shower gel and hair dryer are provided too. If toothbrush sets or shower caps or washing detergent are required, they can be requested or obtained from the lounge.
The staff were friendly & helpful too. We were 45mins early & appreciated the early check in with a short 10mins comfortable wait at the lounge.
Yes, the room is rather small. We were unable to book a bigger room except a double bed room with city view of about 20sq m. It took us a night or 2 to get use to managing our movements between 2 adults & 2 suitcases in each room. Ironing my clothes using my own travel iron has to be done at the counter beside the sink/ television. Looking at the sizes of room & the many rooms at close proximity, I would not recommend this inn for family with kid/ kids or senior travellers. It is more suitable for solo traveller or travellers of not more than 2 in a room.
Read about the strong beach smell in the towels which unfortunately was true. Probably the hotel can go easy on the usage of beach. This is partly the reason I given a 4 star rating instead of 5 under cleanliness.
Overall, a better than expected enjoyable stay. It’s value for money esp considering the location. Thanks too for the gift of luggage tag & luggage belt; a nice gesture. I would recommend to friends and families.
AAnonymous UserI had a pleasant stay at City Suites Hotel, with its convenient location near Beimen Station! The only downside was the bathtub in the shower area, which was a bit tricky to climb in and out of and felt quite slippery. However, the staff was excellent—they were very willing to help when I requested a room change, and their service was great ✨✨✨
GGuest UserPros:
- Great location, just a 5-10 minute walk to 西門町 (Ximending) and 台北車站 (Taipei Main Station).
- 24-hour Family Mart and 7-11 within a 5-minute walk.
- Rare double bed hostel for budget travelers.
- Large common area with a kitchen in the basement.
Cons:
- No hygiene products provided due to Taiwan's policy.
- Poor air circulation in the bed space.
- Private bathroom inside but cannot be used for bathing after 11 PM. Only one public bathroom shared with the entire floor, which may lead to frustratingly long waits.
- Noise from people moving around.
- Mattress is raised in the center, making it uncomfortable.
KKateRoom is small with outdated furnitures and has some old building smells.
Overall the room is clean. Service from the front desk lady was not very friendly. No heater and felt cold in the room during the winter.
DdnalorzLove this room. Not too small but just enough. The power points provided is already universal, really handy if you forgot to bring your own. The toilet and shower is separated, which is good if 2 person need to use.
And the basin is outside, which I think is much more convenient.
Location wise is near to XMD, about 15mins walk away, and nearby there’s lots of amnesties like FamilyMart & food shops.
Would love to come back again!
