Hotels with Parking in Takachiho

As Takachiho Gorge is comparatively hard to get to we felt much better staying in Takachiho for a night. And it's great to find a modern hotel in Takachiho, the front desk was nice and helpful, note that it is such a small town and dining options are not a lot so I would recommend have dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Hotel has a large parking lot and breakfast is great (a bit wait in the morning during peak time)

This hotel is situated about 5 min drive to the Takachiho gorge . However the walk there is quite dangerous and long as it involves walking along windy roads and we even encountered a snake as we drove up from the boating area to the hotel . Parking is free and plentiful . The reception has Nepalese staff who spoke English which was good . We had booked the tatami futon beds which we had to lay out ourselves. The bed was hard and we had difficulty getting up from the floor . Maybe the next time we will book the twin rooms instead . The reason we booked the tatami futon room was that this hotel booking was only available 6 months ahead with Rakuten and they only sell this sort of rooms . Perhaps the hotel should consider opening up all the room bookings well ahead . No chairs were provided in the room . Wifi was adequate but the aircon control could only set to very cold or off . Dinner we had at Eiraku restaurant which the receptionist kindly made the reservation for us . Wonderful Yakiniku restaurant . Very affordable with excellent marbled beef and pork . Breakfast had a good selection of western and Japanese . It was good . Onsen was adequate but not very big . Overall an adequate stay.

I stayed here to visit Takachiho gorge, which I wanted to go to for the first time on my first trip with him in the spring of 2016. We have never been so well catered to and I have stayed at other ryokans before. The facilities and food were fantastic and the staff was very attentive. The other moment was when we asked about the hyuganatsu fruit we had for dessert the night before. They actually called around the local markets to see if there was any left for us to purchase and unfortunately, the fruit was not in season but they surprised us later that night with hyuganatsu in our salad and the hyuganatsu jelly we loved so much the night before. We grew to adore our attendant Chung Shu Fan who took us to our dining rooms and was very kind and spoke to us in English as we struggled with the Japanese language. We always looked forward to breakfast and dinner here where we were served the best of the local delicacies.

A long-established inn in the downtown area of Takachiho Town. Bus terminals and Takachiho Shrine from Nobeoka are slopes, but a few minutes walk away. Yamazaki convenience store is also nearby. Although it is a long-established store, you can feel the traces of various renovations. The toilet in the room was small but with a washlet. The difficulty is that there is no elevator. I still want an elevator to go back and forth between the １ floor and ３ floors. On the other hand, although it was dinner, the dishes centered on local dishes were lined up, and the sukiyaki of Miyazaki beef was delicious.

I think there is a parking lot and a convenient inn to drive around Takachiho. The lobby is old and dim and very quiet. It may be just a good quiet for the body that checked in tired by Takachiho walk. . . There was free wifi in the room, but I didn't notice, and I didn't write anything in the manual book in the room, so I called the front desk and told me. The meal was delicious for dinner and breakfast. I'm sorry I couldn't eat it. When I asked the staff where they could buy soy sauce, they told me more about where they were selling and how they were selling. The bath has the amenities necessary for the room and the public bath. In addition, if you don't know anything, you will be very kind to tell me that you ask the color 々 from here. Travel for the first time in two years after refraining from corona. This was a home inn (^ ^) The single room is large enough and comfortable. I thought that the trip was an inn 〜. The hotel is located close to the bus terminal and it is a 7-minute walk to arrive, but the lady boss said that she could send her a car to pick her up! After we checked in, we went to dinner. The lady boss called us to reserve a table beforehand, and then took us to the restaurant by car, and asked the restaurant to call her after our meal and send a car to pick us up to the hotel; because the next day was a weekday, there was no circulating bus After visiting various tourist areas, she arranged a car to take us to Takachiho Gorge, and asked us to walk into a product store there after completing the trip to find the person in charge to call her and send a car to pick us up to the next tourist spot ~ the small train station, and it will be free during the period. It’s really heartwarming to help us prepare a bamboo leaf rice ball for each of us! ! Very friendly and friendly proprietress, of course she drove us to the bus terminal when we finally left the hotel! 😁 The room size is relatively small, there is no problem for 2 people, and it is a little crowded for 3 people! There are small desserts in the room! There is a separate toilet but no separate bathroom, but the hotel has a small hot spring where you can take a shower by the way! The breakfast is a Japanese breakfast, very delicious, and a staff member sings Japanese songs for entertainment! The hotel is not big, it looks a bit like a homestay, but the enthusiasm of the proprietress is full of warmth, making everything unimportant, not a problem, it deserves full marks! ! 👍🏼
