This time, I made a reservation early, so I was able to reserve a rare twin western-style room. Last time, my stay was short, so this time, my goal is to stay longer. Of course, I also got to get the pin badge that I forgot to buy. I could see the majestic Mt. Aso from the open-air bath, from the room, and from the restaurant. I crossed Aso from Daikanbo and am now in Minamiaso. I was impressed by the size of Mt. Aso. I had seconds of the steak and zenzai from the live kitchen. It was winter, and we checked in late and checked out early, so we couldn't see Mt. Aso from the open-air bath, which is their pride and joy. It was snowing when we left, and Aso was cold. Dinner was a buffet, and we had freshly made steak, tempura, and the local dish "dagojiru". Coronavirus measures were perfect, and mask holders were prepared. Breakfast was especially delicious, especially the milk! I think it was the first time I've ever had such delicious milk. Still, I was surprised at the appetite of the three women sitting nearby.

It's about a 5-minute drive from Takamori. It's easy to find as there is a restaurant famous for its Akagyudon (red beef bowl) opposite the entrance. The view from the window of the room facing Mt. Aso is quite nice. Mt. Nekodake on the right, and Mt. Takadake, Mt. Nakadake, and Mt. Eboshi on the left. This can also be seen from the open-air bath, although it is a bit small. The hot spring is an alkaline simple spring. Meals are served buffet style for breakfast and dinner, but the dinner buffet was a bit lame, not to mention the breakfast. It was also strange that they were pushing seafood dishes so much in the middle of Mt. Aso. They did offer some stewed Akagyudake (red beef), but the steaks grilled by the main chef were not Akagyudake (red beef). Well, I guess it's good for families. If you're looking for good food, I think it's better to go for the course meal plan.
