Takayama Apartments

Great 2nd stay. Very clean and big indoor and outdoor osen. Nice Mountain View and thankful to the hotel for giving me the highest floor on both stay. Shuttle departs from hotel/Takayama train station hourly. Driver is very polite and on time. Delicious food and drinks at the lounge at level one. Good for family and other travellers who like nature spacious rooms.

We chose Hanajoan for this trip to Takayama. The environment, service and food were far beyond our expectations. The bathroom in the room was relatively small, but the room had its own hot spring bath which was very good. The hotel provided free pick-up service from the station. When we arrived at Takayama Station, the hotel staff was already waiting at the exit with a sign. We were picked up by an old luxury car. The hotel is about five minutes away from the JR station by car. It is also very close to Takayama Jinya and Miyagawa Morning Market, and can be reached on foot. The hotel staff also provided meticulous service. They beat drums at the door to welcome us. In addition to the necessary matcha and traditional snacks, the mini bar in the room is free to enjoy. [including beer and drinks] Special apple juice 🧃], and a free drink and ice cream exchange voucher, which can be exchanged on the first floor for [Special milk 🥛 juice 🧃 + peach 🍑 ice cream] On the first night, I chose the dinner in the hotel. Both the appearance and taste of the dishes were great 🎉👍 [It was a kaiseki cuisine with Hida beef, and the beef was grilled]. Therefore, I decisively chose to enjoy the dinner on the second night in the hotel. The menu is different every day [The second dinner Hida beef was presented in the form of Sukiyaki 🍲] On the wine list, you can choose special sake 🍶 and the matching wine glasses are also very unique 😋The theme is the four seasons, spring, summer, autumn and winter are each unique, and the color will change when the wine is poured in 🥳. These wine glasses can also be purchased in the store on the first floor. The price is moderate, so I decided to buy them. 🥰 The breakfast is also very rich. 😉 There is a special miso sauce, and the taste, appearance and service are all good. 😎 In short, the hotel has everything you need and is very suitable for a relaxing vacation. 😌

The service was excellent. I especially want to praise the front desk lady that day, because we lost something at the previous hotel the night before, and the hotel's telephone customer service could only speak Japanese, so we couldn't communicate. The front desk lady of this hotel was very patient in helping us. It took up a lot of his time, but she was always very enthusiastic. The hotel also offers indoor and outdoor hot springs, and the restaurant in the hotel also serves good food. The breakfast in the morning was also delicious with a lot of variety. It was a very pleasant stay experience.

The hot springs is nice and nearby to all the attraction places. There is a supermarket also nearby. The parking is cost JPY1500 for a day if you are the hotel guest. The hotel refund one day hotel fee to us due to last minutes road closure and we unable to check in.

The hotel is very close to the Takayama station and Nohi Bus Center. The old town is in walking distance of around 10-15 minutes, with many different types of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby. Impressed by the hotel providing rice soup bowl every night for hotel guests. The hotel room is very clean and neat. Surprisingly it is very spacious too.

The apartment is conveniently located near the train station, which provides easy access to public transportation. While the surrounding neighborhood is pleasantly quiet, it is still very convenient, with restaurants and other amenities within walking distance. The spacious balcony offers lovely views and is a wonderful feature, allowing you to enjoy the fresh air and scenery. Overall, this is an excellent value and I would highly recommend it based on the location, amenities, and beautiful balcony view.

My recent stay at the Wat Hotel & Spa Hida Takayama was a delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the hotel's thoughtful amenities and welcoming atmosphere. Ample parking is available (a reasonable ¥800 overnight fee applies), making it a convenient choice for those traveling by car. I also opted for the breakfast buffet (¥1000 per person), which offered a delicious start to each day. The friendly front desk staff spoke excellent English, making check-in a breeze. A particularly nice touch was the welcome drink coupon, redeemable for a refreshing beer or soft drink at the self-service bar – a perfect way to unwind after a journey. The rooms at Wat Hotel & Spa are spacious and comfortable, featuring well-appointed bathrooms with excellent shower facilities. The hotel's onsen, located on the top floor, is a true highlight. The private onsen is available on a first-come, first-served basis, offering a relaxing and intimate experience. Simply lock the door, and the space is yours to enjoy. The hotel is also family-friendly, with a fun touch – guests can help themselves to a complimentary popsicle after their bath. All the essential amenities are provided, including combs, soap, shampoo, and comfortable bathrobes, readily available in the lobby. My stay at the Wat Hotel & Spa Hida Takayama was truly rejuvenating, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting this charming town.

Hotel is right beside the Highway/Local Bus Station & Takayama Train Station. Most attractions are within walking distance. The hotel room is spacious, it has a kitchen with the essential appliances, medium size fridge (not those small bar fridge in most hotels), microwave oven, electric cooker, washing machine with dryer. Their check-out time at 11am compared to 10am check-out required by most hotels in Japan. Highly recommended to stay here when visiting Takayama, especially when travellers using Takayama as a base to explore Shirakawa-go, Tayoma, Narai-Juru, etc.

Of the three accommodations I visited during my trip to Nagoya, this one was the most soundproof and well-equipped. I booked the last remaining room, so the room was quite small, but the bathroom and toilet were clean, and the bedding was comfortable and cozy. The hot springs can only be used once a day after making a reservation. It wasn't a hot spring like Gero, but it was worth a try. The common lounge was free to use until 11 p.m., so I could have a light snack and sake at night. However, you have to clean up after yourself! It was very difficult to drag my suitcase to and from the station on a snowy day, but... I would like to come back to this accommodation again.

The location is right next to the Murakami bus stop. The environment is quiet, the dinner is rich, there are at least M5-level grilled wagyu beef, and steamed wagyu beef~ You can't finish it if you don't want to eat it, don't eat lunch when you come~ It comes with private baths and open-air hot springs, and the cost-effectiveness is super high. The surrounding scenery is beautiful, and it is also a good place to escape the heat in summer~
