Hotel Shunkeiya

It is said that it was a hotel where the emperor had stayed before, so I chose Shunkeiya. In fact, there are not many hotels to choose from in Takeo Onsen Street. The hotel rooms are quite modern and the bathroom toilets flush automatically. The dinner is quite sumptuous, and the breakfast is a decent Japanese breakfast. The hot springs are pretty average, one indoor and one outdoor. Half of the shops on Takeo Onsen Street are open and half are closed, which is a bit depressed. The hotel is about one kilometer away from Takeo Onsen Station. Call the hotel and they will pick you up from the station.

Overall, I think it was good. The hot springs were also very comfortable and made my skin smooth. The temperature was a little hot, but the breakfast was also enjoyable with a variety of ingredients. Since it is a hot spring town, the smell (sulfur) in the hotel bothered me a little, but I got used to it later. There are many sightseeing spots in Takeo and near the hotel, so I am satisfied.

The hotel will arrange a free shuttle bus between the hotel and Takeo JR Station. When you arrive at Takeo JR Station, just ask the Tourism Info staff to call the hotel to pick you up. No reservation is required in advance. Although the hotel is not very far from the JR station, there is no need to walk if you are dragging your suitcases.

Accidentally booked as a couple. The overall service was very good. Because I missed the train, I called in advance to ask if they could save dinner first. They agreed very well. Although it is a bit far from the station, the pick-up service is available at any time (it is recommended to inform in advance if you arrive late). Highly recommended, will come next time.
