We stayed at La Vela Khao Lak and were asked upon check-in if we had any special occasion. We mentioned it, but nothing happened throughout our stay. I didn’t really expect anything special, but it was quite surprising to see two other tables beside us at breakfast being celebrated by the staff with cakes and birthday songs. It just felt a bit inconsistent and strange. Overall, the hotel is lovely, but that experience left us a little disappointed.

This hotel is 1 hour 30 minutes away from Phuket Airport, but it is totally worth it! The room is spacious with a huge bathtub on the balcony. On weekends, the hotel has a lobster wagon buffet with a fire show! Boom~, the kids love it! The staff are extremely friendly, especially JP and Amp. They can communicate so well in English. Also, this hotel is close to one of the Michelin restaurants.

This is my third visit to La Vela, but during check-in, I was notified that the room could not be provided due to an issue. They arranged for me to be transferred to their sister property, Casa de la Flora. However, Casa de la Flora has no beach access, a very small pool, and the resort area is quite limited—it’s more of a quiet retreat. The overall experience was just average.

Modern renovated hotel with well kept amenities and large pools. The scenery to beach is truly stunning.
However, would wish the staff to be more attentive and lay better service.

One night is not enough for this beautiful place. The cleanness, design, service, staff and all the vibe were so great. It's really worth the price.

Overall, it’s quite okay. However, the room towel looked dirty and the surface wee dead-colored. The room and bathroom are quite spacious. The path to the hotel has a lot of flooded areas.
